the original thread is here:
http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=10&t=001902&p= the previous thread is here: http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/cg...;f=10;t=011012 Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie. The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines: this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone[i]* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner * any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences) -a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately! * Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!) * do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it. Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course! The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by. Cloudy, your hostess [img]graemlins/ladyhearts.gif[/img]

Java should be a "fun" lesson... well it WOULD have been if the guy who was taking it wouldnt stutter so much: imagine Khalid with a northen accent, (english northern) who talks too much and too fast so that no-one understands him, "Yes you do this then this, oh and if you need help here, and blah blah blah... by the way if you... etc etc etc Oh and... perhaps if you..." yuk :| lol, THEN we have to do an english unit... or so it seems... "note taking" :| etc... 3 assignments... hmm, seems like english GCSE again.. powerpoint presentaion... currently, Im on a break... stupid tutor... I dont CARE about how she takes notes, I do it my OWN way... then she photocopied a piece of a magazine... "broadband" and made US take NOTES on it on PAPER... and HERE we are SITTING IN FRONT OF A KEYBOARD! A PC! AGRGH! I'm on a friking pc coruse! WHY!?!
erm,a nyway, rant over how are all of you? (damn these mouse's dont have wheels... bah!)

Memsypie... I answered your pm... you're getting soooooooo senile in your moderate old age....hehe!
Attalus, this morning was a crazy circus in my office! One TA borrowed a vcr last night and locked it in her office, but my key is missing so I couldn't retrieve it and it was supposed to be used by another TA this morning. Same happened with a 2nd machine but I didn't know WHERE it was (have a key and finally DID find it) because the faculty member didn't sign for it. Then a mtg was taking place and they needed copies but the copier is acting up and I had phones ringing, sorting of the messed up copies, missing vcr's AND a fac member locked out of her office all at same time as chair needing numbers of majors and a PhD student I had to set up with her written exam today.... ACK! Tea, Calgon.....take me away!

Hi huys, just finished typing an essay. I think I did quite well. I'll probably be going down to the track soon for some sprints, but I GOTTA get something to eat first!!!

Good afternoon, all! afternoon by about 10 minutes, that is....
Totally overcast and rainy here. On the other hand, this cool front will mark the end of summer weather in this area. Another autumn is well on its way. Must be time to break out the long-sleeved shirts and sweaters. TJ was taking his lunch today, yet still thought he needed to take money to the cafeteria for his lunch. He must be really hungry! Cloudy, that sounds awful. I'm sure that you were calm and good-humoredly above it all, like the Cheshire Cat.
Azred, it has been raining all morning, here, too. Yay for hurricaines in the Gulf, and cool fronts. You can tell a person is from Texas if the phrase "cool front" brings a smile to his/her face. |

Hey Melkor, maybe Horation can play pool with you if you find a pool table!
Azred, don't you feed that poor kid? Attalus...ack, I felt like tossing a few things around the office and hallway! But yes, I tried to run from task to task without screaming "I WANT A HOLIDAY AND I WANT IT NOW!!!!!"
