Um... they'll still make new ones. Once mankind develops a *type* of religion it rarely fades away completely. Fanatacism, thus, will keep popping up within sects in various religions. It's a historical trend. Unfortunately.
Haven't heard from them Mayans or Babylonians lately yeah I know not strictly religions but they had their own pantheons

Whose what?

Regarding the Mayans/Babylonian comment, Messrs. Muppets, I said *type* of religion. Monotheism, Polytheism, fanatacism, mysticism, etc. Pull out your Civilization III book and check it out.

Brennihelvete, this is NOT the first terrorist caught. Several have been caught, leaders too. Others have also been um... eliminated, shall we say. I have not the time to post details, but it's really been in the news at least once every month or two since 9/11/01.

It's a historical trend. Unfortunately.
I read a paper about 25 years ago writen by this historian, That said the world was due for an Islamic "Crusades". He contended that every major religion known to man had gone through what could be described as a "Crusades Period". This was all backed by historical data, it seems that aprox 800-1200 years after the founding of any religion it goes through this period. Something to do with by that time men have perverted the religion away from it's original state. It seems like the relgion then goes through a cooling or holding pattern period for several hundered more years. Then about 1400-1600 after the founding the religion goes through a reformation period.
At the time I had dismissed most of what was writen because the writer had an agenda, that the world was about to end and Christ was coming again at such and such time. I don't buy that ANY man know the time of Christ's return, so I had all but forgotten most of the papers details, chalked it up to him being a fruitcake. Looking back on it now I should have paid more attention to the historical aspect of his writing, and ignored his purpose.

But one can still hope Timber. Someday there will hopefully be no more terrorists. Perhaps when humanity has learned that violence is not always the best way to make a point. Perhaps we should make a law stating that we would have to hug every person we meet on the street. Can you feel the love?

Yeah, won't it be great when the war is won and there's no more terrorism?

Don't push it Willow. There's lots of people on the streets that i don't even wanna go near, let alone hug them. Have you ever traveled by train and had to sit next to someone who sells fish ? If you haven't, let me tell you, you don't wanna hug that person, defenitely not.

Aww johnny I thought you would like that law. You could use some discretion and only hug us beautiful members of the other sex. Pesonaly I don´t find the smell of beer very excitting either. LLAO!

Hiero, the 'war on terrorism' will likely never eliminate terrorists. For everyone caught there will be new ones. (Dang! I´m agreeing with Timber. Arrgh! )

If you really don't like someone, but they're too big for you to take on face to face, and you're not charming enough to turn others against them, what do you do? You shoot them in the back, that's what! Terrorism is the poor man's total war.

That may be so, but as long as hatred, war and misinformation exists there will still be terrorists no matter how many you catch. If we could eliminate war and hatred there would probably(!) not be anything to terrorize.

Edit: Aww, I´m a cute dragon.

Willow, you'll eliminate my hatred when you eliminate my enemies for me
