A new opinion poll is being held in Britain. People have to vote for the man or women who they consider to be the greatest Briton ever.

When the poll closes each of the first ten will have a one hour documentary made for TV. At the end of the series the polss will be reopened and the person with the most votes will win.

So who do you think is leading the poll at the moment. I'll make it a little easier for you.

It's not Winston Churchill, it's not Sir Isaac Newton and it's not Lord Nelson.

So which person does the great British public feel was the greatest of them all, who in the last 2,000 years in the history of Britain has contributed most to the land that is now the United Kingdom?

She's in at number 20 - in a tie with Boadicea!

Wouldn't make my top 100 though.

That's right. Never mind about that Shakespeare bloke, we are going for a pop star.

Wellington, Queen Victoria, Michael Faraday, Sir Christopher Wren -NOPE. It's some scouser who could carry a tune!

I want to know! Tell me? PM me if you want, I wont tell

Based on the things I've heard Brits in this forum say about PM Blair, I'd guess it's not him.
