Once in a while, you hear stories about people building places over Indian Burial Grounds. I happen to have one question: Who is dumb enough to do that?

Maybe the people don`t know that there is a burial place you know. So that doesn`t make them dumb. Only un-knowable about this things.

Actually, building structures over burial grounds isn't an uncommon thing, but don't get me wrong I'm not saying that's ok either. Here's in this part of Indiana, a lot of the town houses are on these grounds but I guess a lot of people don't know about it, otherwise they would have land marks.

the goverment deemed them unsacred, since they are not concercrated, and allow people to build anywhere, unless it is over american cemitaries.

IMO, thats just showing disrespect to American Indians; like they haven't been doing it.

It's not dumb, over in Singapore where there are shortages of land. Remains from burial grounds have to be relocated to make way for new apartment or new office buidling.

Personally, I think that burial grounds should be left alone. IMO, there are enough buildings in the world already, and if we carry on at this rate... bye bye to all burial grounds.
I'm not saying that those people were supid, they might have thought that they were doing the right thing, or they didn't know.

For the most part money-grubbing people who provide homes for the homeless. You may find it awckward, but it isn't your place to say these people are stupid! And if it means to build over burialgrounds so some people can have a roof over their heads, I say go for it. Maybe the context of the reason for creating these burial grounds doesn't seem amicable to some people, or religion can be lost all together.

And some people outright don't know where they are building.
Hmmm. You have a good point there about the homeless or those who really need a house. In this case, it's perfectly fine but it should be done with thoughts of respect for the spirits. Their bodies may be gone, but their spirits are forever.

We build on top of consecrated cemetary grounds too. Or didn't you see Poltergeist?
