Hiya! I`m replaying Baldurs gate for the second time and the first time I relied on Xan as a mage, but I think he was a bit annoying=) Now i`m planning to at least have Dynaheir, but I also want Edwin. Is it possible to play through the game with both of them? Btw I`m playing a good alignment party. If everything goes well my final party would be this:Me(fighter),Imoen,Minsc,Dynaheir,Edwin.
The reason i`m asking is that it would be pretty annoying if the whole thing fucks up after a long time of playing. Thanks! |

IIRC, there are no fights between NPCs in your party in BG1, that happens only in BG2. Minsc, Dynaheir and Edwin will b!tch a bit at each other, but there will be no fisticuffs. So you should be able to play the entire game with that party.

My charisma is actually 8. I know it`s very low but I chose to put the points at the others stats. Btw here`s my stats: ST:18/36,DEX:18,CON:18,INT:18,WIZ:10,CH:8. I`m planning to dualclass my fighter to a conjurer after lvl 10 or something, I suppose the stats are good?

Well if you're going to dual class your main character to a mage, then you don't really need BOTH Dynahier and Edwin
Like previous posters have said, unless you have really high Charisma, there are certain combinations of NPC's that will end up fighting each other to the death, and Edwin/Dynahier is one of those combos.

Anybody ever have Jaheira randomly attack KHALID?! My first time through, my party consisted of: Me (fighter/thief), Khalid, Jaheira, Yeslick, Dynaheir, and Kivan. Very late in the game, I decided to attempt Durlag's Tower and while exploring the outside she had an affinity for shooting slingstones at her husband! I had her target the Gnoll she was SUPPOSED to be attacking, just to make sure. She did it again. I had her attack with a club instead. She shot at Khalid again. I tried in various encounters to remedy this. It didn't work, she just kept attacking Khalid. Eventually, I killed her off and left me with the predicament of trying to find another character at the end of the game.
Strange eh? Maybe she was tired of having a 20 rep for so long... 150 game days IS awhile. I haven't used Khalid and Jaheira since though -Jafin

quote: In BG1/TotSC you won't be able to reach level 10. The top level for a Fighter is 8. So I recommend dualing at level 6 or so. Can't remember what the highest level is exactly that you can reach as a Fighter after which you can dual-class and still regain your Fighter-abilities. The stats are great for dualing though. Hiya and thanks for answers. Actually I`m not sure when to dual-class. I`m planning to import my character to BG2 so maybe I`ll wait till then with the dual-classing. I posted a message on dual-classing here earlier but I actually didn`t get any wiser=)
