In the 80th minute it's still 0-0 between Senegal and Turkey. Both teams have had great opportunitys but can't seem to find the back of the net! It looks like it may go into extra time....

But how often has Spain been World Champion then?

After Italy lost to South Korea, the South Korean striker who scored against Italy was fired by his Italian club team Perugia, an act that Dr Szreter called "extraordinarily infantile".

The English, with their lower expectations, have so far been graceful in defeat, consoling themselves with the thought "we did not do badly," and, with such a young side, hoping that in four years time, England will be as mature and formidable a team as Brazil is now.

I hope you're not taking any offence, norom - I rarely get to contribute my opinion in these debates and I'm not having a go at you personally - I just think that all this whinging about referee bias, etc in the media is just WAY over the top.
no problem memnoch! im not taking it personally. its just that i feel really passionately about THE GAME. im not attacking anyone either, btw. i would picture this as a pub argument with my friends, with everybody yelling, laughing and even arguing more extreme opinions than what they really have. but everybody remains friends at the end.

That's the best thing about arguing about sports - everyone is very passionate but one thing unites everyone - the passion they have for the team they love.

Now let's all argue about how pathetic England were in the second half of their game against Brazil - especially when they had 11 men to 10.

Now that was a pretty goal by Turkey. I am glad they won since they controled the game throughout. Although they had problems finishing all day.
I am looking forward to seeing the brazil rematch with them.
