Or rather, Ranchoweb finally pulled out the plug from my sig which they used to host for free. Is there anyone who could be so kind as to provide a new home for the elf-babe?
I think I recall Wendy having some room still, or maybe Ziroc is still hosting member sigs? Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, I did sign up for one of the other free webspace places once, but sorry, I couldn't figure out how to use those sites... it's a different system from Ranchoweb and I couldn't manage it. Yes I'm blond... sue me.

Edit: Well... me sideways! It's back. That *is* odd. When I started this thread, all I got was the infamous white box with the red cross. Ranchoweb did say they would be deleting all old pics in their database (from the people who decided not to start paying for their memberships), and I had been expecting my pic to disappear soon, so when I saw it was gone, I assumed they'd finally got rid of my elf. Apparently not, sorry for the false alarm.
Does anyone know whether Ranchoweb is even deleting pics at all?

Maybe they were just doing their monthly update thingy ? Every time that happens you see a lot of people with red x's in a white box for a sig on IW.

Melusine, if you're through with RanchoWeb, I could host it for you on my University account, if you want.

According to ranchoweb forums, there were problems last night when they ran their backups and one of the image servers was down at the same time. I cant find anything on how they are handling the supposedly defunct free accounts though, the forum dosent have a search function and seems to only go back a couple of months anyway.

I dont know if they are deleting old accounts at all. Mines is still there as well, although Vedran hosts my sig now.

Hmmm, well, maybe they aren't, after all. They did mention in the "warning - deadline approaching" type emails that the unpaid accounts would be deleted soon. I'll wait and see what happens then

Ziroc is definitely hosting member sigs - send it to him and he'll host it for you, sweetie.

Edit: Nevermind, I asked him for you. He or I will let you know ASAP.

Really?? LOL, that's fantastic! I had no idea he was hosting it already! Thanks Dan! And thanks for your help too Maz
I'll go and change the URL right away, it's probably much more reliable than an old Ranchoweb URL.

Thanks a lot for the other offers of hosting, BTW - much, much appreciated!!
