I fell down the whole where it leads you to the Dragon shield in wall. I placed 2 of the 3 dragonshards in it, but never found the 3rd. Also, the letter from Kerellius or whatever that you have to give to Hapheastus ----Where is that?

And I assume I am doomed 'cause I cant climb the hole back out that I fell through..... Is there a way to get out and still do this -THANKS!

1. The dragonshards:
- The first one is near the entrance, on the "upper floor". Look at the ceiling near the first corridor to the "cave river". You will see a hole in the ceiling that cannot be reachaed from that place. The area above can be reached otherwise. The first dragonshard is near the hole.
- The second one is in the spider labyrinth behind the lava pool. One of the chests there contains it.
- The third one is in a chest behind the boulders, which - as you will be told by the narrator - "block your way". The boulders can be removed by means of Divine Sigil given by the Oracle in the dungeon.

2. The only way out is by jumping down from the bridge leading to the dragon shield. You will be pulled underwater by the stream after jumping down so that you must act quickly.
- If you have somebody in your group who is less than 6' tall then select him as an active character before jumping down. You will be able to pass through an orifice on your way under water. You will end in the "cave river".
- Otherwise, you will need Divine Sigil. You cannot pass the orifice under water. Backtrack instead (swimming against the stream) and you will end behind the boulders. Take the dragonshard and use the ring on the boulders.
- You can also try to jump down on the bridge leading to the boulders. The bridge is visible from the upper bridge (the bridge leading to the dragon shield).

At any rate, SAVE the game before jumping down.

If you did Not get the sigil...(Ring)..from 'Uthdalla' you can get passed the boulders...If....someone has the 'Vanish' spell.

If you Do Not have the ring...or ...Vanish.....I'm afraid you'll have to use the 'Reverse Time' spell...

Yes the bridge jumping always work. But it seems you can end up pretty much anywhere from tat bridge... I´ve been taken to a lot of different places by jumping from that bridge. Once I even got stuck in the middle of the water fall... So save before jumping

actually, it's juz a matter of save-jump down thingy.....

Depending on the character involved, you may not be able to fit through the opening. Has to be someone small, like a pixie, rattling, or Ghourk, IIRC. Larger characters just get stuck, and then vanish (or reverse time) become the only options.

And just to mention the obvious, when you save before jumping, save in a different place from your last save game, in case you need to go back to it...

overwriting ur last save game would NOT be a gd idea . i did it b4 n had 2 tear my hair as punishment for it

Hi Heron!

The shards are NOT always in the same locations though they are usually in the locations that Radek mentioned. I had a game where I found one in the chest at the end of the lava pool next to the ramp so it could be that you just have to look around more.

Has been a while since I have done the Spire and though difficult, I do not recall there ever being a place I couldn't get out of with some effort. Have you tried climbing (looking up slightly and running/jumping)?

The letter you needed to put into a letter box which is in the area before the Bronze Dragon. You just put it in there and forget it. You do not need to go back to wotshername (she won't respond to you having fulfilled the quest - pity).
