Ok when you creat your character is there a differnce between females and males or just what you like????..i collect opinions here
And something else...What s best aligment to choose bad characters or good ones?does it matter throught the game?i mean when im bad nobody talks to me and when i have 18 reputanion everybody talks about me and to me... Irenicus in a dream was glad to hear a "bad" answer i gave him..that means i "have accept my fate" as he says? thats for now thanks guys DSlaytern] Just a minor title edit to prevent misunderstanderings. Gender makes no difference in the game.
Good alignments have the advantage - rep tends to rise too much to make playing evil straightforwards, and most of the dialogue/quests in the game assume a good protagonist. And there arent enough evil NPCs to make a complete party, although the ones that there are are quite powerful.

as andewas said, the game leans toward good a aligned party. Once your rep falls too low, merchants wont even sell anything to you. for your first game or two i suggest good or neutral, just to make things smoother.

But the gender matters:
-romances (obviously) -Garren's child is of the opposite sex than the protagonist (Taar or Iltha) -dialog with some NPCs changes (EG: When Edwin "changes", male and female protagonist have different remarks) Dreams do not mean anything. Well, they do, but they are there for flavor, there is only one big "decision" in dreams. And you will know it when you see it.

Vedran pretty much covered it...but there are a few dialogue options in certain situations that you'll only get if you're a certain gender. They're not crucial to the plot, but they're fun to do. And I won't spoil ye no more. A charisma of 18 will also help this discount, and give better rewards. Two good powergaming NPCs are good-aligned (Keldorn and Mazzy). On the other hand, evil choices are the easiest to make but the hardest to live with. And the best powergaming tank and mage in the game are both evil-aligned (Edwin and Korgan).

by being bad no one would sell me anything...or by having evil caracters like the female cleric i rescued in the goverment district before the crowd burn her decreases my reputation by 3 or 9 points jusby having her in my part....
I think that attidude matters. All my party members are against joinning the mistress guild and keldon would leave if i do... maybe its all a matter of balace between good and evil

It is 2 points penalty for having that cleric.
NPCs in this game tend to have a strong personality. They will argue, leave or even attack you if they don't agree with your choices.

ah yes, npcs attacking you or each other is always fun. had to get rid of anomen at one point cause he kept picking fights with aerie, and then that would tick off minsc, and then wackiness ensues. plus he's kinda irritating with all his self-rightious bullcrap, but a handy cleric to have around.
plus, is you're too good then you'll tick off jaheira, who wants everything balanced. bah! have a chaotic neutral c, then nothing you do has to make sense. crazy people are always fun.

Vedran- I believe there's also some slightly different dialogue in chapter 5, but not that much, overall...
