Todem Quest

I talked to Shinwikki and was given the quest but I get the message "the shaman door isn't working" when I click on the trapdoor. I tried all of my characters with no luck. I'm not carrying any special items that might work. Is there something special I need to look for?

Continue to speak with Shinwiki. It opens after youe accept the mission to destroy the evils and complete all conversation possibilities.

btennison, make sure you let Shinwiki complete what he's saying. A lot of things in this game are apparently triggered by oration, and if you cut an NPC off it can prevent something from happening. I had the same trouble talking to the Oracle; the wall wasn't opening in the cave because I didn't let the Oracle get through his little speech. Good luck!

Hi, btennison! As the previous posters stated it's very important to have people finish what they have to say - this counts for guild quests as well. To alleviate this problem you might want to install the unofficial patch (but be sure to read the pros and cons concerning it first). When you have the patch installed conversations cannot be interrupted.

Also, you have mentioned to Shinwiki that you are their Ukabu - the purehearted hero and slayer of all that is evil

When you facing Shinwiki, on floor behind you is door that open when you tell him that you Ukabu and he tell you that you need kill toadem evil.

P.S. Let Shinwiki open door for you. I open it myself once and door splat party to death!
