Ok, I have a pretty decent party going on here so far.
Im quite content with how i developed my team of combatants.
But i can't resist the urge to tinker with some of my guys.
Im just seeking the forum's advice and comments, thanks.

Ruven Of Azusa - Human - Samurai - Lvl 14 - 396 kills
Overall prolly my favorite combatant. I think ive done an excellent job training him. So far i rate him a 10 in my party. (Me by the way)
Class Change: Maybe to a fighter untill the endgame to allow my Sam to level up faster. Then before Asencion Peak switch back to Sam

Slash, The Sauron Slasher - Lizardman - Fighter - Lvl 15 - 331 kills
Not hard to foul this one up, and he is very funny Homer Simpson type.
I guess he would rate a 9 or 10 since he is really good at his job.
Class Change: Hmmmm...I dont know if any other class would benefit him much. Any Suggestions.

Twilight Ruby Skye - Fairy - Mage - Lvl 14 - 281 Kills
Pretty straight forward untill now. She is my most important caster.
She helps by killing lots and buffing so i rate her a 9 to a 10
Class Change: Just got to lvl 14, thinking of going back and switching to a Bishop (at last save)so i can study Psionics. Or i wait for lvl 18

Hunter Fox Grey - Mook - Ranger - Lvl 14 - 232 Kills
Was my best fighter for the first 8 Levels. Not so great now. But alchemy is getting better so i would say she is an 8.
Class Change: She seems to be pretty well rounded will rock with giants sword later on. Any Suggestions with her.

Silent Shadow Of Sorrows - Fairy Ninja - Lvl 13 - 191 Kills
Sucked for the first 7 levels. All i did was throw stuff like powders and darts all day. She kicks ass now with the CoC. Rate her a 8 but can be a 10 later.
Class Change: Maybe make her a rogue or alchemist till endgame then switch back before Acension Peak. Or leave her as is.

Siverado Lobo, Shaman Of The Pale Moon-Rawulf-Priest-Lvl 14 - 65 kills
Sucks,Sucks,Sucks. Getting better though, at least he can now kill people with instant death, whirlwind and lighting. Rates a 5 but after a class change can be an 8.
Class Change: Ok either i go to a lord now at my last save. Or wait till he gets his level 7 spells and go fighter.

Well people comments, Suggestions, Questions, all welcomed
Thanks

you might want to do some research on class changing before you decide.

for instance, going from mage to bishop (and ONLY for the psionics?) means that to get from Mage, Char Level 18 to Bishop, Char Level 19, you will have to gather approximately 3 million points. bishops are VERY slow from the beginning, but doing them at that late a level they are, uh, slower. :/

if you're doing it because you're bored or you just want to test out other things, it's going to be a big disappointment. personally, your characters sound great, so i don't understand why you don't want to turn them into powerhouses that can get thru the endgame. that's the whole purpose isn't it? to prepare for the end?

whatever you decide, good luck and have fun!

You make a lot of sense, Vesselle
and the endgame is my main concern

but i do want some sort of psionic magic for one of my charachters
i have 2 alchemy girls 2 wizardry people and a divine guy
but no psionic
i guess i want to play with those other spells
plus i got a crapload of the spellbooks in a house in arnika
maybe i should keep as a mage untill i get all my level 7 spells
but by then i wont have time to develop anything in psionic.
or i can switch to a bishop now and then back to a mage oncee i get decent with psionic
damn this is hard
prolly just wait till i get all my mage spells then turn to a samurai and screw psionics till my next party

(I am a proud owner of 3 houses in Arnika)
All filled with goodies,
everytime i see myles walking around town i get nervous and go make sure i closed my doors.

Hey - well I also have multi class ideas with my party, here is what I think considering the makeup of yours.

For the Samurai, I'd leave him alone - let him keep building his magic, won't be able to do that as a fighter. If you're happy with how he's fighting now, why change him?

For the Fighter, if he can qualify for any of the hybrid fighter classes it might be worth it to get some magic for him, but if it would be too much to pump his stats to qualify you can just leave him pure. What I did was make my lizardwoman a Valk to start, she'll multi to a fighter later on in the game (to me all you want from the Fighter class is the beserk combat option).

For the Mage, why not multi to a Psionic for psionics? Bishops are alot slower to level up. Also charm and mindread on npcs will be a good way to help boost that as well as level up points. Plus the mental immunity is sweet.

Ranger and Ninja I'd keep pure; you don't want to lose the ranged criticals skill of your Ranger, and the CoC with a Faerie ninja would be unusable if you switch class.

The Priest is who I would make into a Bishop, you can keep increasing his Priest skills and develop another school or two as well, maybe go for more Psionics

Good luck with them!

Do not change your Samurai. Let him keep going and he will be awesome for the end.

At this late stage you may not want to change your fighter. If you do change I would suggest picking a Hybrid class that closely matches his best weapon skill.

Definitely convert the mage to a bishop. You can continue to add to your mage spells and expand into the psionic realm. I made the mistake of waiting to long to convert my Psionic and so he did not really develop his other realms (coverted at level 20).

Definitely convert your priest either to a Lord or Valk or a Bishop. Lord or Valk probably means you will not have the higher level priest spells but you will gain fighting ability. Conversion to a Bishop expands your list of spells.

Some important things to remember when multi-classing.
1. You lose any special abilities the previous class had. Such as beserk option for fighter and Ranged Criticals for Ranger. You do gain the special abilities for your new class.

2. You can only improve skills that are on the new classess list. This means that if you convert your Mage to a Psionic, you will never gain any addition points in Wizardry even through practice. This is why it is always better to convert a dedicated caster to either a hybrid with the same school of magic or a Bishop.

Most people use class changes to either allow a maxed out character to continue to grow (for example: mage to samurai at 18, bard to fighter at 18, lord to fighter at 22, any magic user to bishop at 18, etc) or to get a small boost to their abilities early on (mage to bishop at level 2, psionic to monk at level 2, etc). Generally, if you want to do this, it’s best to have it planned out and be steadily working toward it – it’s usually not a good idea to simply improvise class changes.

Looking at you’re party, I’d actually recommend you not do too much class changing. Definitely not with the samurai, ranger, or ninja (switching the samurai to a fighter might sound good, but remember – you won’t be able to improve critical strike while a fighter, nor would you be able to improve your magic, nor would you be able to use samurai weapons, nor would the fighter’s berserk ability carry back over when you switched back).

The mage-to-bishop (or psionic) and the priest-to-lord (or bishop) changes don’t sound too bad, but again – if you haven’t planned this out, you’re going to shoot yourself in the foot.

A few things to consider –

What’s the strength, dexterity, and senses like on your priest? A lord can’t dual-wield well at all without solid numbers in both senses and dexterity, and without a high strength you won’t be able to wear much armor.

What’s your mage’s senses and piety like? If you’re going to study psionics, you need high senses. Also, all of your realm skills are tied to piety and intelligence. Unless you’ve been working on those, you may have difficulty improving your realm skills.

Well my priest has
str 65 dex 60 sen 50
I trained him like a priest
high intelligence and piety
i might not be good at dual wielding u are right
so im thinking of putting him in the back or a flanking position
and giving him my faust halberd wich has a 10-30 attack
and he can still be my primary healer but can clobber people with a pole, as a lord. also the faust halberd has a -3 hit point drain, but lords have hitpoint regen so he will be ok.
I can also give him some amulets of dex and speed to get him a little better.

My mage has poor senses 55 his piety is good though at 87 and int is maxxed with powercast going up fast its at 64 and ive only put liike 6 lvl up points in it.

Realms are also pretty good
Fire 80
water 77
wind 81
earth 87
mental 76
divine 77

Actually, that sounds pretty good.

Your lord will be immune to the health-draining effects of the Faust Halberd, so that’s a good choice if you don’t want to dual-wield. You’ll probably still want to improve his strength so he can do more damage and wear the heaviest armor, though.

Your mage is in really good shape, also. You might want to push senses for a bit, though. Advancement in psionics relies pretty heavily on senses.

Anyway, your plan looks good. Let us know how it turns out!
