Please, don't read if you don't want spoiled.

You WERE warned

Ok, I've been waiting to see it for weeks. Not that I'm a Big Final Fantasy Fan or nothing, actually, I've never played any of 'em. The Animation was OUTSTANDING. The storyline, not so much. Was slightly disappointed with it. The lovey dovey stuff kinda got in the way. Overall it was ok, but the Animation and the Preview for Lord of the Rings were the highlights...It's worth seeing, but if you wait to see it at home, not that big of deal.

I agree BK! It is well worth watching! The animation/special effects are phenomenal! I liked the story - standard space opera, yes, but still interesting. You definitely don't need to have played any of the FF games to watch it. It stands well on it's own.

Hope you go see it!

the story btw, no matter how futuristic, is a traditional Final Fantasy. I love the FF series, so I like it in every aspect. Lots of people here clapped their hands and stuff when they kissed

Yoric, Nick, and I went and saw it at the Imax theater tonight.
WoW!!!
visually it was nothing less than stunning.
And while the story was a little "Hokey" it was very Final Fantasy none the less.
At our showing we were treated to a preview of the upcoming Planet of the Apes, and SpiderMan films. Very impressive as well.

Hey BK,
So it's a see it whenever you get around to if film, huh? I had heard that animation was superb, but didn't know if a non FF fan would get much out of it. Sounds like I might anyway. Thanks!

Oh god yes. Did you catch any of the typical Squaresoft words? Cid. Gaia. etc etc

Oh, and the music is distinctively square as well

Yeah Cid I picked up right away, then Gaia. Its REALLY final fantasy-esque..
Its a wonder the soldiers were'nt named Biggs and Wedge.
The animation is outstanding too, but I cant help but wonder what a game it would be..

I dont think i'll trouble with the FF movie but the 1st part of the Lord of the Rings movie is released on Dec 19th this year with the remaining 2 parts following on over the next 2 Xmas's. Now this is a movie Ill definitely watch.

The official site - http://www.lordoftherings.net/

The trailer of the movie http://lotr-dl.real.com/lotr/lotr_trailer2_large.rm looks pretty good already....really good infact.
