I know that several Ironworkers already play this game. But for those who don't, let me explain how it works.
Its a small game, in which you set up your own nation. Which can be anything you like. From a corrupt dictatorial nation to a Socialist or Liberal democraty... If you like, you can join the UN where you can debate and vote on all kinds of issues. You form your nation by voting on a minor issue once every day. (or every 2 of 3 days to a week, you can set this yourself). As an example; I'll show you the issue I had to deal with today. Please note that the Soda Industrie is the main engine of our economie. Soda Sales Workers Strike! The Issue Workers across the nation have gone out on indefinite strike over what they claim are substandard wages in the Soda Sales industry. The Debate "We are the backbone of this country, and we demand a fair wage rise!" says union leader Hope Winters. "I don't think a 20% increase over two years is too much to ask. Unless the government forces employers to give us our due, we'll shut this whole industry down! Let's see how well Ellinea's economy manages without any Soda Sales, huh? [Accept] "We pay our employees very generous wages," says employer representative Al Love. "Especially when you consider that without us, they'd be OUT ON THE STREET. Hear that, you scumbags? OUT ON THE STREET! Anyway, my point is, if you cave in, you make our entire industry uncompetitive. You can't do that in the global marketplace. It'll hurt the whole country. The best solution, economically speaking, would be to relax industrial laws and allow us to fire troublemakers on the spot." [Accept] Anyway, I can really recommend this and suggest you have a look. My nation can be found here; http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/...nation=ellinea If you want to start your own nation (takes very little time) just go to http://www.nationstates.net and create your own country. It is a free game, of course . Enjoy, and if you wish, you can move your country and join us in the Once Upon A Region. Hey, this owns. I've just signed up with a new country and got one of my dream subjects:
Human genetic engineering is now openly supported by the Socialist States of the Proteans. Let's usher a new era for humanity or perhaps even a new humanity. http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/...ation=proteans As you can see, my nation would probably get along well with Ellinea.
