Yea, I Probabaly Would... But I'd Regret It Afterwards

I.e She's Crossing The Street, A Bus Comes Round The Corner And Is About To Hit Her, I Would Definatly Jump In To Save Her. But When I Pushed Her Out The Way, And Turned And Saw The Bus... I'd Think: What On God's Green Earth Did I Just Do!? I'm A Dumba-

Not to be too pedantic, or cynical, but I'm pretty sure that 'Love' is mainly a consumer-related concept designed to make people gooey and buy things, sort've a celebration of happiness as well as guilt (for instance, the pressure of 'if you REALLY love your gf you'll buy her some jewellery' and such).
Of course one may have a deep emotional attraction and dependance upon another person, but this mainly arises from biochemical hormones instinctively applied to encourage mating.
Western marriage itself is just a means by which aristocratic families sealed (and still seal) business deals and connections.
Humans (particularly nowadays with mass-production of love-stories, movies and gossip magazines) seem to have a tendency to over-spiritualize basic evolutionary biological functions.
Plus on top of all this there is the problem of the English language's word 'Love'. It encompasses so many different meanings. Ie: I LOVE getting wasted! I LOVE you baby! I LOVE what you've done to the place. I LOVE the taste of a choice cut of steak.
The Latin language has individual words for each of those different meanings of 'love'. The English language has just the one. Which is always a difficulty.
