I have posted a similar thread but no one knew the answer at that time so now I am asking again!
I went exploring in Ust Nahta and I discovered drow from the De'Vir family/house being executed. I did not have Viconia at the time so I wonder if she would have reacted in any way? [ 10-18-2002, 06:16 AM: Message edited by: Tyrion ]

Where did you find this drow? Did you read their names correctly? Viconia is the last survivor of her house! *looks confused* mind you, Bioware DID bugger up the history of the DeVir lot *sigh*

She doesn't react at all. Weird. Perhaps they forgot what name she has, or different people worked on that areas.
What city is Viconia from? Not from Menzoberranzan, because she tells different story than that in Salvatore novels (AFAIK).

The De Vir drow can be found above the tavern in Ust Natha, in a hemispherical cage. It appears that they were due to be executed, after being tortured first.

Yes, Viconia is from Mezzobaranshan. We learn early in Homeland, the first volume of the Dark Elf trilogy by R.A. Salvatore that the DeVir House was destroyed by House DoUrden, Drizzt's House. She is the last survivor, so she is indifferent to those other drow, who just happen top have the same name. Anyway, the surviving DeVirs would not be tortured but killed out of hand to prevent their complaining to the Council, see the same book.

Yes, she did say that. You have to understand that Viconia fled the Underdark after her brother, Valas, killed their Matron Mother while she was attempting to sacrifice Viconia to Lloth for the "crime" of hesitating to sacrifice a human infant to that horrid goddess. Viconia fled in the confusion, but Lloth turned her brother into a Drider for the sacrilege. She really has had no news of her family since she fled, but assumes the worst, since another House, like DoUrden, would immediately seize on House DeVir's disgrace and wipe it out, moving up in the hierarchy. She does not know who did it, and, anyway, Drizzt was just an infant at the time. Not that that would have mattered. But, still, Viconia hated all of her relatives save Valas, only, and he is dead or worse.
