Nope... back in the office, working on various client projects. Getting ready to drop off my son's friend at home (after a sleepover), and then head to an eye doctor appointment. Hopefully I can get my contacts back in again soon...

I think the problem will really hit not when cooking but when going out for dinner. I know that with a vegetarian wife it can sometimes be hard enough, but eating out with a vegan will be even trickier - so good luck with that one.

Eating out doesn't have to be *that* difficult... says a guy who now special-orders almost everything Remember... they've got a kitchen back there and they know how to use it

Vegetarian-friendly restaurants are always ideal, but as long as she knows *how* she'd make something vegan, she can ask for it that way. Just don't make fun of her or roll your eyes... that's not appreciated much

Wouldn't dream of it. I actually respect the vegan lifestyle. It's pretty hardcore, to say the least.

Not to mention very healthy. I used to choose veg over vegan but nowadays, with all the hormones in animal products, it doesn't look like such a bad idea.

Kyrvias, there's also a soy-based faux minced beef that works great in chili or bolognaise pasta. Worth checking out.

But if you can do East Asian dishes, it's worth checking out. There's a delicious dish I often get called "Gado Gado" which is based around cabbage and peanut sauce, with fried tofu. Leave out the egg and some shrimp and it'd be vegan-friendly

Anyway try this site: http://vegetarian.about.com/od/ethni.../vegindian.htm

Indian and Thai are my favourite foods!

Yeah, except for all the pesticides on the plants. Buy your Sam&Ella's tomatoes here!

neither vegan or vegetarian are much my way. You do have to be careful about eating the right combinations of plant matter so you can still get a full protein set. Too many people try to go vegan or vegetarian without doing the necessary dietary research and end up getting sick.
