Yes, but you can't do a Kensai mage with out cheating right? And you would have to arm him after spells...thats why I keep thinking that a monk mage would be cool...no need for armor or weapons....*sigh* cant do that either...

Well, the best time to dual for me is either at the beginning or level 9. When you dual at level 9 you will get an extra kai, and an extra damage bonus. That kai ability is what is important though. If you dual at level 12-13, then the kensai/mage won't be that good in the beginning of the game. It takes quite a lot of time to get to level 14 as a mage.
