I've been reading a lot of fan fiction lately. Probably the best fanfic I have read is a story describing a scene from Metal Gear Solid. It really captured the scene perfectly.
I was wondering if I would have liked it less if I had not played Metal Gear Solid. Since there are probably not a huge amount of Metal gear fans here I was wondering if people would like the story without having played the game. Here's the link: http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=273502

I've just read that.......
I fall into the group of 'Played and completed MGS1 (and 2!!) multiple times', and can I say, that story, IMPO, was a very accurate representation of the battle. I thought there were some very subtle, but excellent touches, including Wolf's weakness. I did enjoy that! Thankyou very much Spade! [ 07-06-2003, 07:05 AM: Message edited by: Lavindathar ]

Aaaah, fanfiction...a perfect example of a two-bladed sword...you get good ones...then you get really, really, really bad ones. But in general ff.net is a decent place. I myself have a story there, an Eva fanfic (not that many people will know what "Eva" is, but hey...)

I think it was so wrong I mean...
"I saw The Hero in my scope, aimed at his heart. Here is my love letter. As I sqeezed the trigger a blast from the side knocked me to the floor. My gun laid several feet away. The bastard couldn't even kill me on my own terms." That is my adaption of killing Sniper Wolf with the remote control missile that the name I have forgotten. But other than that it was great, totally had the atmosphere, a little strange using the PSG-1 as the murder weapon when most people I knew couldn't touch Sniper Wolf with that in the snow...hence my little adaption. |

You *can* kill sniper wolf with the rifle, but you have to be good. or spend a few hours on just that bit. personaly i prefer the missiles, but the last time i played it she killed me before i could lanch one, so i used the rifle the next time.

I never killed Sniper Wolf with anything but the Rifle, and personally, I didnt find it that difficult.
MGS1 (&2) were far, far too easy.

See some of the worst fanfic in the world here. [Note; there is some kak NC-17 stuff but it's labelled. I recommend the Matrix section. Not only is the original story brain-scarringly awful [See such comments as " Im sorry you guys I dint feal very well you guys go ahead withought me" I said Reluctantly "No! Sammie! Come on you need soemtime to un wind and you NEVER do anything with us anymore!"brooke said impatiently thats when I looked up and saw her shirt. It had a black Cat. "okay i'll go" I answered enthusieastically. After a long and Tediouse Car ride we got to the mall and then my life began to change in so many ways some good, some bad and now here I am. and the gem, He was also Buff the only way I can illustrate this is that he had kind of Muscly arms with a six pac], but the reviewer is damn funny too.

I like writing fan-fiction, usually based on the US Transformers comic strip (G2 to whoever cares ).
You wouldn't believe the bull that some people come up with I read this one story where transformers were integrated with "The A Team" and "My little pony" He was serious! I also like writing fantasy fan-fiction, needless to say there's a fair share of bad stories based on the fantasy realm floating around the realm |
