In my opinion, the strongholds in BG2 weren't all that strong and there were some rather underdeveloped ideas in them. I know it's a very small part of the game but, what changes would you make if you designed the strongholds from scratch? (keeping it realistic of course)
I would've made seperate strongholds for the monk, barbarian and sorceror. also, i think there should be more benefits if you have a stronghold, some different depending on your kit. for instance, archers get random magical arrows and an ammo belt generated in their stronghold; mages get random spells depending on their type; thieves get money based on how many thieves get back; fighters can practice combat and so on. |

Stronghold are not hard to make, someone with a little editing skills could add more to the game.
It just take an area and a few events.
