Im not even sure if Ive ever heard of it. I think can safely say Ive never used it. Try doing a search at Yahoo or something to find out more.

OCR is software that converts scaned material into a text file for computers. It means Optical Character Reconizition.
I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of some of the 'better' packages.

OCR is Optical Character Resolution. It's a form of scanning which recognizes the characters in a scanned document and allows you to edit it like a word processing document. I use it occasionally.
The reason that I didn't answer your question Arvon is that the vast majority of your threads are old jokes off of the internet so I rarely open them.

I didn't answer because I don't use my scanner or the software anymore. |

I've used OmniPage for ages, with great success. It's rated with a 99% accuracy, and is multi-lingual, and multi-platform.
Try it.
