Guys,

Do many of you use bows?. I find them kinda wussy in comparison to hand to hand or magic.
Only Dragon arrows in the hands of my Ranger seem to do any good whatsoever.
I go for the old Doublestike with all my characters, except my Ranger so he can make me those lovely expensive Dragon arrows.

Naah, bows are pretty useless. You only have time for one shot before the enemy is right beside you. Or if the enemy stays back they often have a nifty long ranged combat ability. Fully blessed dragon arrows can be a very nice addition to your arsenal, they do heavy damage (more than most swords do). I think it´s around 60-90...

Bows really aren't that effective a weapon in W&W. I've played many games where a good bow is one of your best choices early in the game, but this isn't one of them. W&W really seems rather biased towards swords, staffs and knives. That may be the result of the game being rushed to market and not all the original plans being completed. Hopefully if they do a W&W II all weapons will have advantages worth using!

I agree. Use offensive magic instead. I have always a suitable spell selected in my "scroll" so that I can switch to my "ranged weapon" immediately. With the Quickspeak trait, I can fire with a considerable frequency.
