As I have said in the past, the truth will never be known. The fact, however, that a high ranking US official admits to finding no WoMD, does say something for the integrity of this action.

I answered this in the other thread, so I'll try not to go into it again here, but I do find it interesting that you are willing to accept the information provided from a high level military official that says no WoMD are found. Would you have accepted the information at face value if the same official had said WoMD had been found?

Other than the obvious, what would have been the difference in the two statements? [img]smile.gif[/img]

The US has no reason to say that WoMD weren't found, so I accept that as well, but had they claimed the opposite, then I might be a little leary. They do have a vested interest in finding these weapons.

I don't see what finding WOMD would change at this point.

If they find some, it change nothing, the war is going to be over by then.
If they find none, it can either mean they wheren't found, they got destroyed by Sadam to get rid of evindences, or there where none, but the war will be over by the time they stop looking, so if it get proven without a doubt that there was no womd, the US can simply say: " Oups! look like there was no womd after all. Oh well... at least we liberated the people of Iraq. look at how happy they are..."

So since they will be the victors, and since they get to write the books, why wouldn't they start now?

Choosing to believe only the things that go with your point of view is biased in the worst way. This way, even if they tell the truth, you'll never know because you won't believe the truth if it opposes your view.
