Here's the deal..My computer has 2 drives, both of 1.99 gig
I'm thinking of optimising space but installing new drives is not an option because I'm out of cash. Can anyone tell me what I can use safely on a compressed drive and what I can't? I've got way too many MP3s to delete and I have about 700mb total on both drives. I want to install some really big games(size wise) but I dont want to have to delete my other games. Suggestions? Can I play games from a compressed drive? ------------------ Why? |

NOPE! Don´t put anything that you use often on comprssed drivers..
Best thing is to either borrow or rent a CD burner for the MP3´s, Winamp has no problem playing MP3´s from a CD and that way you will hav them backuped for newer times too.. Games and MP3s has to be uncompressed before played.. not fun! ------------------ Yawning lazywolf dreaming about nice little fairies...zzzzz Wolfgirs lair once-upon-a-paper |

heres an idea for you. Sell the two 2 gig hard drives. buy a 10 gig hard drive with the proceeds. You might have to contribute some funds if the you dont get enough from the two 2gigs.
You would be amazed how cheaply you can get 10 and 20 gig hard drives. Now that companies are selling 40 and 60 gig hard drives the 10 and 20 gig hard drives are getting really cheap. My wife bought a 20 gig hard drive for $140 australian. If youre in the states you can probably get your hands on one for $60 or $70. Sell your 2 gigs for $20 or $30 each and get ya a 10 or 20 gig. ------------------ THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!!!!!!!!! |

I know you can get a sixty gig drive if you live in the U.S. but I don't know how much it costs. Look into it, if it's really expensive forget about it, as you could just buy an entirely new computer. I suspect it'd cost about $200-$400. If you buy one though, you'll never have to worry about space again!
