Do you mean the final three chapters of SoA? No, they've remained the same. They didn't even toughen up the final battle with Irenicus like they did for Sarevok in BG1 with TotSC.

The ToB areas themselves obviously add a lot of new stuff though. Including tougher baddies and more powerful weapons. But you already knew that from the packaging of course

You mean in ToB, I suspect. Quoting from Bioware's website:

With 30-50 hours of gameplay, 80 new areas spread across a dozen adventure areas, 50 powerful new spells, 40 new monsters, and 100 mysterious new items to discover, Throne of Bhaal is one massive expansion pack. There are even 2 parts to the game - the continuing Bhaal storyline as well as the completely optional (and massive) dungeon of Watcher’s Keep.

I'm especially fond of one extra character you can recruit into your party--not to give anything away, in case you haven't read more about the game. There's also a fascinating encounter with a long lost friend from BG1. As expansion packs go, this is among the best I've played.

That new NPC is REALLY powerful... By and far the best in the game imo.
