You've got my thoughts and prayers for your Dad Zeeke, I hope he has a full recovery, take care of yourself too, I know this must be a very difficult and worrying time.

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the support and well-wishing!
I just got home from the hospital. He's stable, and sedated, but doing ok. We will talk to the doctors tomorrow to find out if he has to have bypass surgery done. At this point, we don't even know how many arteries or how clogged they are, other than they said "severely clogged arteries". I will keep Kdog updated as much as possible tomorrow, so he can keep everyone informed. Thanks again for all the support! It's nice to know that people care.

Hello all!
I got back from the hospital, and am home for the night (thank god!). Here's the latest on dad. He had one artery that was 100 % blocked, another that was 80-90 % blocked, and the main one that supplies the pumping section of the heart was 30-40 % blocked. The decided that they didn't need to do a bypass, because they could accomplish what they needed to with just angioplasty. So, to make a VERY long day short, then ended up getting his two severely blocked arteries open, and put a total of four stents in to keep them open. He's awake, eating, and making jokes....so I know he's feeling better. He's got another couple of days in the hospital yet, and then will be going home to a different lifestyle (whether he likes it or not). Mom already knows what she has to do, and is more than willing to kick his ass into submission to get it done. ;D So, he should make basically a full recovery from this one, but the doctor made it very clear that if he doesn't change his lifestyle dramatically, he probably won't survive the next one. Here's hoping that he actually listens to that! Thanks again for the support and kind words. It's been greatly appreciated. You guys are the best!
