As a Ninja, your intrinsic trait you receive is "Cloak of Night". With this trait, you will be able to start studying the "Stealth" skill. You will also need the trait "Backstab". Adding points to Stealth will enable you to hide effectively, backstab, and the higher your stealth, the more likely you are to remain hidden even with a successful backstab.
Until you can acquire Stealth (which I think is either at 3rd or 4th level Thieves' Guild), and Backstab (4th level Thieves' Guild), you can cast the spell "Shadow" upon yourself, which lets you creep by in the shadows. You won't be able to backstab, however, until you get the Backstab trait. -Sazerac |

Ah! Thanks for info! I am so used to wizardry interface where you just select hide option then see if sucess or not then next round just attack. For some reason I though it is same for W&W but I cant find hide button. hehe
Anyway.. I have other question regards ninja.. I was debating myself which I should train Kung Fu or Dagger skill.. I plan to make my ninja to be assassin. But which skill I should focus on.. Kung Fu or dagger? Thanks again Baneb |

Baneb, the button, you´re looking for is the one labeled dragon breath early on, it´s a place filler for any traits and special abilities that get used that way, it´s located on the left side of the adventure screen, between "carry object" and "view map"!
Just click on it, and it should turn into the button for cloak of night or whatever!Clicking on it again switches to the next ability and so on! Have fun! Just my cents: Since items can be enchanted or blessed up to 12 times customizing them to your needs, while kung-fu works mainly without weapons , I prefer weapons skill, especially since kung-fu is rumored to work better when wearing light armor and I prefer the heavy - duty protection of enchanted plate mail! Choosing what´s best for you depends on how you want to develop your chars in the future, kung-fu maybe even useful when doing classes that dont use weapons and armor a lot (like the warlocks, priests, mages, and maybe the bard). Have Fun finding out for yourself if your unsure! [This message has been edited by Yazee (edited 10-30-2001).] |
