I was in Windspear Hill, In the final battle of Firkraag the dragon, he killed my 2 party members, Jaheira and Aerie. However I can still see Jaheira's portrait in black, but not Aerie! When she died, the slot of her is emptied, only showing my 5 remaining characters... I got to the temple back in the city gate and can only raise Jaheira... Aerie is gone for good...
I don't remember what exactly killed Aerie, but I guess Firkraag doesn't have any disintegrate or similar magics that cannot raise dead, right? So here's my questions... 1. Is there any way to bring back Aerie? I really need her cleric/mage class... (the worst case is I already got my game saved! Now I really regret it and know that I should save it in a new slot...) 2. Any clue on what was that killing blow of Firkraag that "disintegrate" Aerie? 3. If bringing Aerie is really impossible... is there another cleric/mage NPC? I appreciate any reply, and sorry if these questions sound stupid to you, as I'm quite a newbie on these (haven't played BG1 or Icewind Dale b4). Cocobug |

If the NPC takes more damage than 10 points over their total # of hit points, then they are dead (i.e. blown to bits) and not subject to resurrection.
Unfortunately, you're hosed! |

Unfortunatly, that is how it goes, tho I don't remember any other cleric/mages on here....anyone know of any???
Death does come to us all, but for some reason I see Aerie die alot. Remember she is one of the weakest, might want to use an archive next time. Best bet, sorry to say this, start over... ------------------ " Live by the Sword...live a good life" |

You have to reload. However, I do commend you for fighting Firkraag straight up without traps and cloudkill. I'm sure you can get him without loosing anyone next time.

Why use traps when monsters summoned hit more than once, eh? Yep. Aerie must have become flying gobbety chunks. Reload time, I'm afraid

No, as eveyone else has said, if you don't have a saved game Aerie is gone for good, and there is no other Mage/Cleric in the game. Small location NPC spoiler . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . HOWEVER... if you don't want to start over, a single class Cleric is available - Viconia. If you haven't already found her, she is in the Government District of Athkatla. She is Evil aligned, but she is grateful..... Or, if you want a Mage more, you could try Jan, Thief/Illusionist (Slums), Nalia, Thief/Mage (Copper Coronet, Slums)or Edwin, Mage,(Docks or Copper Coronet) |

I suggest that Aerie is't out of the battle, you warriors debt have far to Firga??? of Aerie, her can summon creatures for help you, equal Jaheira, Viconia. (My defeat him with Paladin, Minsc, Yoshimo (dual fighter) in the front, helpful for the creatures of Jaheira, Aerie, Viconia.
I suggest that damage on him NPC's isn't major a the HP-half for healed. ------------------ When The world of the deads comes, we will already be there. |

Hey here is a good one, next time dont send Aerie into the battle sept to summon creatures, damn her, hate it when she gets killed. By the way, how the hell do I get the Windspear Hill's quest, I am lost on that one, damn acorns are getting to me holding them all the time..

Well, it could be something to do with the fact Aerie has the second lowest Constitution in the game, 9 (narrowly losing to Viconia, with a measly 8!). By comparison, I always find Imoen gets carved in any close quarter fight situation, and she's Con 16 and Dex 18 (as opposed to Aerie's 17) AND Imoen wears Elven chainmail. Go figure... Plus, of course, as a Cleric/Mage, she gets a piffling amount of hit points whenever she levels up. Life's just not fair...
Let me get this straight. The journeying outcast Drow-of-the-road Viconia has a Con 8, but rich-kid, naive-view-of-the-world Nalia and backstabs-spells-and-archery-are-my-specialities Imoen have Con *16*? They're as tough as Minsc! Come to think of it, a lot of these stats don't seem to make much sense... Tancred "I don't kill people because I want to, Brother. It's a holy duty." - Sarevok |
