Re: The City
(decloak)
E also stands for my response - Escellent! I haven't gotten around to uploading a more recent zip base package yet (it's done, but not zipped up) I might be able to take a break from the "stuff" a little later this morning... As for why the other wards are empty, I haven't received anything from the other two gents yet. The way it works is that you do whatever you would like in your ward, talk about it a lot here. (Anything you want to share with your neighbors - organizations, characters, style, etc.) When you're ready, and that doesn't mean done, but you've done enough that you want to add it in for others to see in the base package, zip it or rar it up and email it to me. If it's larger than 10 MB, you'll have to do it in parts over separate emails. When I get a persons additions, I'll put them together in the base and put out a new base package to download. Because I am the hub, it doesn't matter if people are working on things at the same time. Oh and just a reminder to everyone working on this, as soon as you create a quest or special item, announce it to the group so that we will not duplicate it in it's slot (not use the same name) PM me - manikus a.k.a. Mayor McCheese - with any questions. (/decloak) |

Re: The City
Ah - I guess you will take care of the merging, then (phew!).
Although I have exactly zippo done for my ward so far I am planning to do a kind of magic-themed city, plus a futuristic part as well (maybe the basement? Or above?). As I hardly even understand quests and special items, I will probably not be making any of these soon

Re: The City
The city has grown again with addition of Magister Uatu moving into the colloquially named "Ward E".
The site is updated - not just with a new graphic, but with a new base to download. http://one.xthost.info/elminster/city.html |

Re: The City
Ooh, there are some new icons in there... Where did you find the time to make them?

Re: The City
There are? (Hops a bus to the City to check it out.) I don't know how those icons got there.
But they're not new. I did all of those a couple to several years ago. They use to be on my site, back when I included derivative works. The gnoll and hill giant still are on the site b/c they're original (the cloud giant is too, I just don't like it). The answer to the unasked question is Icewind Dale. Seriously, though, I didn't intend to put them in, I just forgot to delete them, as I did the other monster icons (b/c the file names begin with 'icon_' instead of 'cm_' I missed them). |

Re: The City
Ha ha... You seem to have a lot of stuff in a secret stash somewhere...
Is the storm giant original, too? (I don't think I saw it anywhere, anyway, and it sort of looks like the cloud giant...)

Re: The City
Yes, it's original, but I don't really like it. I have a better one in the works if I can ever get some time to work on it.
There is still more stuff in the secret stash. |

Re: The City
Well, I'm going out of town for a week, so I'll be setting the gators loose in the moat. Just a bit of warning.
Hopefully, the end of December will see me having a couple of weeks of relatively free time. Then we will see the next City update and y'all will get to meet lots of new NPCs. A few will be recognized from my website, but the vast majority will be new. I'd guess that right now I have 15 to 20 new portraits just waiting for names and occupations. And thanks to some wonderful sales at all of the places where I buy models and other digital content, you guys can expect to see a lot more "new" portraits from me. |
