We all know how difficult it is exploring the Gael Serran (and getting lost) in the dark so don't do it!
Early in the game and after role ascension use the hours of darkness to travel to and from Valeia and the crypt. You don't have to be able to see where you're going, you can just follow the path.Keep killing Rumphy, you can spend the dark hours rapidly gaining experience and going up levels. When it's light again you can go back to exploring the wilderness. A variation on this theme is that later in the game you can do dungeons, where it doen't matter if it's night or day,at night. When dawn breaks (crash, splinter) you can leave your dungeon for the time being and map some more of the wilderness until the light fails again, then back to the dungeon. NOTE on't let the mantraps catch you in the dark,as they did me.This is NOT a good thing!!! |

Thanks for sharing your tip, Zero!!
So many players have complained about the darkness and a few, like myself, actually love it. There are few experiences as spine tingling as to be out exploring in the dark and have a monster appear suddenly! Your tip should be very useful for those who don't! Wyv Bring on the Night! |

You could also adjust your monitor settings and raise the contrast and the brightness level, or if you dont know how use the illuminate spell. both have been recommended in previous posts..
