Hi everyone,

It's been awhile...I lurked on this board a LONG time ago and love the community here so I thought I would post and let all of you know about a cool new game that you might enjoy.

This is a new game by Larian Studios and man is it ever wonderful! If you ever played (and liked) Ultima VII: The Black Gate you owe it to yourself to check it out!

Looks nice....BUT.....The demo download is 2 hr. 35 min...(400 MB)..and thats with a DSL hook up...

The demo patch, probably isn't as bad...it's only 40MB

Yeah, that demo is a whopper. I bought the game sight-unseen at Gamestop so I could return it if I didn't like it. So far, I feel it is one of the best CRPGs I have played in several years. It's a fantastic game with lots of polish. Just amazingly well done! The game is both immersive and addicting.

Anyway...So far it looks Great....(I downloaded it last night)...Still trying to get the feel of it...only died twice...LOL

I´m connecting through the hubby´s new server [img]smile.gif[/img] Could that be T2 or T3 perhaps? I have no idea how to interpret those Mbps and such. I only know that it´s a great deal faster than my old ADSL connection. Actually 432Kb/sec is way lower than my max speed. The highest I´ve got is 1,72Mb/sec. Woohoo

I just checked my d/l speed again....It's displayed in KB not Kb...so it was running at 53.8 KB..

..Anywhoooo....I'm off to the salt mines....

One thing to keep in mind...I never played the demo so I am speaking on hearsay. However, a few folks said the demo is more combat intensive than the regular game. Apparently, when they started playing the full version they were duly impressed by the story that developed as well as all the interaction with NPCs, etc. So...for what that's worth. All I know is I have the full version and love it!
