Do not see DMA under the properties in device manager/cd-rom.

Am I looking at the right spot?

When in Device Manager click the + icon, then select your cd-rom, then right click and select properties (or just doubleclick on your cd-rom) then choose settings and then you should see a window where you can check DMA.

coachschwartz - You are in the right spot... Look under the settings tab once you are in properties... i.e. Device Manager/CD-ROM/Properties/Settings... The DMA switch is there.

You are definitely in the right place. Right across from Disconnect, Sync Data Transfer, and Auto Insert Notification, there should be three other options: Removeable, Int 13 Unit, and DMA.... On my machine, the DMA box is the only one accessible of these other three options. I hope this helps...
