My bumble day
was yesterday. It's gone now I am certain. But what is this? Something amiss? With email I am hurtin'. A note to friend, info to send confidential - I sent to all. The apology - I sent to me alone! "Oh gads!" the bumbles call. Tomorrow better be better! LOL!! (This is a true bumble - but not to fret (if any would) was within the BC group and no harm was done to any!) Wyv |

This is the story of a bumble averted,
A sad tale of betrayal, and friends deserted. The story of she, who was Exiled to Myst, “Waylaid by puzzles”, she firmly insists! And of course, there was a cute little “Squee”, “I couldn’t resist! I’m a sap!” is her plea! For many a day, she’s lost in the graphics, ‘Til suddenly she realizes something is lacking. The pining begins, for friends she once knew, For Wizard and Warriors, and her party so true. And so from the shelf, she loads the CD, Happy to think of where she’ll soon be! When suddenly with bumblific fear she recalls, “DIRECTX 8! OH NO! ‘Twill be my downfall!” “‘Tis payment indeed for my falling prey, To the newest, eye-candy game of the day!” With hands all atremble, and sweating brow, She left clicks her way through the start screen somehow. Closing her eyes, and with bated breath, She waits for the infamous “blue screen of death!” But lo and behold! IT WORKS! Hallelujah! It loaded right up, no problems, no bumblujahs! My party is happy, they’re right where I left ‘em. All six waiting patiently, the horse no exception. Indeed this bumble turned out better than some, I’ve learned my lesson, and my sad story's done! BLKCat Adventuring Once More ------------------ ...Events are cowards: they don't occur singly, but instead they run in packs and leap out at you all at once. I've bumbled again, I must admit
It seems to happen, sad to say It's frustrating, I'm in a fit Is a most serious price to pay I was on my raft one sunny day Travelling around the Gael Serran I stopped to catch a sun's ray Relaxing while working on my tan A shadow approached, long and sleek As I dangled my feet without a care A moat pirahna below me did sneak His hopes to catch me unaware And with his plan he succeeded His assault was anything but slow Retreating where the riverbed was weeded He took back with him my big toe! Now I lie here utterly spent Empty space where my digit should be Quite distraught, my toe was never meant To be a fishes dinner, you see Now people look at me quite odd As I walk down the street For wherever I may plod I do so with unmatched feet |

To aid a demoiselle in distress,
Our heroes to the Crypt did go, To find for the Lady an amulet That belonged to her lover so. They found at last the necklace rare, Nestled in a chest nearby, And snagged it and departed, forgetting, they were supposed to deliver a pie! To the stoutish brother of he who helped them enter the Crypt so low, And though the pie was quite disgusting, The poor stout wanted it so! With haste, with haste, the adventures galloped over the hill and mire, Until they spied the Millhouse again, Towering in the sunset fire. "Peace, good sirs," the Lady said, They greeted her with a "Hi!" But instead of giving the amulet, They handed instead...the pie! Kerielle's eyes did sparkle bright, She said, "Why thank you, kind friend!" And nothing could the adventurers do to recover the pie in the end. The erstwhile fumble could not be unbumbled, For prithy, let it be out, Millhouse ladies must love rat pies as much as the worthy Stout! It makes one wonder, since the dame did accept the pie in debt, would Rethpian, as a consolation, appreciate the amulet? So be ye ware of what ye give, Be it to young or old, It could have been worse; instead of a pie, it could have been all their gold! -Sazerac |
