I think that many will be surprised as the Lakers are sent packing by the underdogs of underdogs, the Minnesota Timberwolves. While they won't make it to the championships, they will eliminate the Lakers, only to lose in the next round ... imho of course...hehehehe

I stayed up and watched the whole game, it ended around 1:30am central time.
This is way too late for a sporting event, IMO. Even though I am ELATED that my Timberwolves won the game, I am a little disapointed that they broke down at the end of the 4th quarter. Wally World made the enormous mistake of trying to contest/block Kobe's three-pointer near the end. Kobe jumped INTO Wally and was able to both make the triple, and draw the 'manufactured' foul... then he of course made the charity bucket! I became SOO pissed off, but then calmed myself down as I thought of the past five years where my Woofies had lost in the first round and realized that I was only going to be let down again! So why get excited? Well, they made it into overtime and were able to pull off the victory! I guess that's reason for a little excitement. Garnet was an absolute monster for the first three quarters, as he literally seemed to be omnipresent on the court (note: this is how he always plays), his energy then naturally waned a bit in the fourth. Still an awesome performance though from KG, aka - 'Inspector Gadget'. As happy as I am about the Wolves' past two performances, I still am going to be a little guarded about getting emotionally involved until they win their FIRST playoff series. I've definetly learned my lesson over the past several years.

Well, at least they got one.. The only chance they had to win a champion ship was when they had Hornesek and all them. The only ones they still have from that crew are Stockton, Malone and Orestertag. Ah well.

Thanks for sharing that, i'm watching the game right now in delay. So far the T-wolves are on top of things from the beginning, but i checked nba.com and indeed, they still managed to lose the game in the end. They looked as a better team than the Lakers though. Better luck next game.

I just finished watching the Suns-Spurs game, and the Spurs took game 5, and now have a 3-2 series lead. The Suns looked much sharper though, especially on defense. This could turn out to be a 7 games series. I see little difference in strength between the West's #1 and #8. Pretty amazing.
