A doctor spoke to a large audience at a medical convention. "Red meat is awful. Soft drinks are all sugar. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High fat diets are disastrous. Our drinking water is often impure. But one food causes more grief and suffering than anything else. Does anyone know which food it is?" A voice from the back of the room said softly, "Wedding cake?"

basically, if your eating wedding cake, then chances are you re getting married, and you know what they say about marriage.

You'd think so, but there's nothing like watching all your friends getting married (or, in my case, being best man at two weddings) to shock you into "that stage" ...

I read somewhere that if you're in a bad marriage, you put on something like 40 pounds. If it's a good marriage, you put on 25...

Don't remember the exact numbers, but that's the sentiment.
