Are there any X-Files fans here? If so, which is your favorite series?

I own the first 3 series on DVD and am enjoying them very much. I have not seen anything off the later series. Do they get better or worse?

Aviendha.

Worse. The best thing I can say about this series is that it used to be good.

So what happens, do they just run out of ideas or what?

Basically, yes. Each week becomes just another hunt for aliens or running from the aliens. Or the Conspiracy. Or both.

It's always a shame when a good show goes stale, you know?

I loved that show, but stopped watching in 1998 because I moved away from home and had no cable. But I moved back about a year ago but still havn't gotten into it again, tried few times but it's just not the same.
My faveourite are the first and 4th season

hmmm wut can i say... to me the best series ever made is The Simpsons, ok, ok, latey it isnt the way it used to be, but it is still great fun to watch Homer and his wisdom, Bart and his cruelty and the sarcasm that every character has.. in my opinion it is the most intelligent series ever.

Ninth season started a month ago. All I can say is that things started to fall apart around the fifth season. Somehow the stories seemed to lose their edge. Remember the many 'comedic' episodes? Ugh.
