You know when you start a new game, you have the choice between creating a new party, or use one of the pre generated party, well, you can replace the default party with yours, and even distribute them!

The first step is to export your characters, then, open the file called "party.ini" or "party" in the main Icewind Dale II folder.

By default, this should be:

C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Icewind Dale II

Before doing anything else, Make a backup of the "party" file!

In that file, simply remove the text of one of the default party, and add your own. Then, replace the default character files with the one you exported. Save the file.

Then, all you need to do to distribute the file, is zip the "party" file, and your exported characters files. Host them on the net, or email to the people who want it.

Then, the person simply have to unzip your file, put the exported characters in the "Characters" folder of Icewind Dale II, and put the "party" file in the main Icewind Dale II folder.

But before putting the "party" file in the Icewind Dale II folder, Make a backup of the original "party" file!

That's it! You can now make your own party!

So let me get this straight. You can replace the pregenerated parties with your own, then distribute your characters (favs I suppose) into one party? Why not just import them all into one?

Sure, you can simply distribute your characters, so that people can import them.

But pre-generated party have lore associated to them. So you can write your own lore and character info about the characters. It is also a lot more professional than simply distributing some unknown characters for someone to import.

I would not import a fighter/thief created by someone else, but I would try Dhaanas K'alis, the imfamous drow fighter thief, and his band of mercenaries, The Obsidian Ravens.

I didn't know you had ulterior motives. If I knew this was for the "professional trade-off," I wouldn't have commented. Thanx for the input Luvian.
