Happy Birthday to the best state in the Union!!

On this day in 1867, the great state of Nebraska was founded. ...Well, it's great to me! [img]graemlins/beigesmilewinkgrin.gif[/img] With a state population smaller than most larger cities, we don't have the people, but we do have one of the cleanest and a very beautiful place to live.

So here's to the Cornhusker State!!

heheheh... Cornhuskers vs Sooners... Farmers vs Cheaters (the Sooners were cheaters in the Oklahoma Land Rush)... makes me feel proud!

heheh, i know that. my family's from Nebraska for the most part, i just like making glib remarks about them and reminding them weekly how much OU beat them around last year [img]graemlins/snake.gif[/img]

Strangely, it is also Texas Independance Day, the day that The Texas Declaration of Independance was signed in Washington-on-the-Brazos in, I believe, 1836. Happy Birthady to Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas!

Let me say this first.I've never been to the USA yet,but when i think of Nebraska.....I think of the Bruce Springsteen-cd.If the state is half as beautiful as the cd,it's definately worth a visit.Happy birthday Nebraska [img]smile.gif[/img]
