PnP will always be more flexible and more fun because you get to socialize with friends and the DM can bend rules he thinks too stringent or allow action not forseen. I will say the best time I ever had at a convention was when the DM, after two hours of attempting to get us to the first encounter of the game, tossed the senario over his shoulder and just let us go at it amoungst ourselves. We had a blast and not a single dice was rolled. It was pure role play.

Now if we could just get someone to build a holographic projector the size of a table top we could have the images of the CRPG and the flexability of the RPG. That would be cool!

Saying all that I do find the CRPG's fun. But I still have never finished BG1 or 2. They just get too boring after awhile. I have started BG2 again, maybe this time I will complete it.

Cute. I once had a cleric who worshipped shoes and opened her own shoe store. She also had a goblin sidekick who had a magic drum and snare and people had to save vs. spell or laugh uncontrolably when the goblin did the little drum thing after my jokes.

I wish I knew people who played pnp D&D still...
