...I came home today from work and my sister was going with her friend out, they were going to drive to the capital (really just a big town ) we live in a small town close to the city, about a hours drive, anyway I had some snack to eat and then fell asleep on my bed... by the way if you want to have weird dreams, have Eddie Izzard playing on your stereo while you are asleep...
Anyway I woke up, and sat in front of my computer and entered a newsite... the front news.... THIS ONE... basicly a serious carcrash had happened on the way my sister and her friend were taking...around the time they were there. I had no idea what kind of a car her friend had so I called my sisters cellphone immediatly... and there was no answer... But thankfully she called back few minutes later they were okey, had driven by the crash... but damn that was scary. What do you guys think of this sort of journalism, displaying pictures of a carcrash so shortly after it happened? Is it really neccesary...? |

Journalism is always necessary, except for impartial, objective journalism.

Glad you sister is OK Jorath. Bah News stations/websites, no matter where in the world, loves to get ratings no matter what, at least the photo of the car crash wasn't explicit and grisly, so they at least showed some respect in that regard I reckon.

I don't mind it being in the news, some of my crashes have been!
I had a really scary moment today, it was a "wish I had ABS" moment. I'm into my cars, and the one I've built now is a fast little thing, but I prefer it without power steering (easier to control whilst sliding round corners), and no ABS. But today in the wet, coming into a sharp left hander, touched the brakes, locked, slid straight on across the road. Lucky nothing was coming in the opposite direction. Ah well, still say no ABS is better, but today I could of used it lol!

We are visiting my parents (as I said) and they live ont he 13th floor of a new apartment building. (Weird in itself, I know). But my wife has been dreaming that she was going to fall off the balcony. She's not sure why, but it was a strange sensation of almost falling. She thought it might have been because our bed is close to a low window.
