The Ultimas rock! Playing U9 right now, as an Ultima sequel it's not very good. Stands up pretty well on it's own, though, very immersive.

Check out Exult for a cross-platform open source update to Ultima7 BG/SI.

I have the Ultima Collection but Ultima XI: False Prophet is the only one that I've played all the way through. That was a great game. Probably the best single player game I've played to date.

Ultima 4: It is actually a free download on the internet now. Very bad graphics but still fun.

A lot of people think U4 is the best, personally I think U6 was the pinnacle wit U7BG/SI a close second. The series went downhill fast after that.

Hahahah... i remember playing U4 when it first cam out on Apple2 computers! Came in 7 or 6 floppies(5.25')!!!

Sheesh, I am showing my age now.....

Where can u d/l U4 for free? Would be interesting to see how the game runs on modern computers. I tried installing U6 on a 333mhz and the thing runs so fast i could play the game.
