That must have been awful Tom . I think you did the right thing though. I don't know if we can automatically say that the people who were involved were terrible people for saying 'I didn't do it' straight away - I imagine they were in quite a bit of shock and felt a lot of guilt and were reacting more on adrenaline than any sort of calculated responsibility-lessening manoeuvre. I can't imagine what it must be like to know you hit someone and perhaps killed them.

I was in the same situation as this a few years ago - it was awful because while I saw two or three cars stop to help the person who hit the motorcyclist obviously had just driven off and left him there .

Thanks for the support guys, I'm fine. Didn't lose any sleep over it. But unfortunately, the accident happened during a national day off (Pinksteren). Meaning; there are no headlines about it in local newspapers and no press releases by the Police. So I have no idea how she is doing Hopefully though, the absence of information is good news, and she is still alive.
