Here's a tip, get a friend to punch you very hard on the upper arm, say about twenty times, wait a few days for the bruises to form...this is gods way of telling you if you'd look good with tattoos.

I have a howling wolf silhouetted against the moon on my left arm to represent my love of wolves. A pagan symbol for protection is on my right arm to represent my faith. I also have a dragon on my right leg and a small Canadian flag on my left shoulder.

You are right,it doesnt hurt nearly as much as some people make it sound.I think that taking a tattoo feels like a cat scratching. That doesnt hurt.

For some parts it felt a little like the corner of a razor being pressed into my shoulder. It wasn't at all like pinpricks, like everyone said. The worst part to me was the ichyness the week after. It drove me nuts trying to keep from scratching! Two months later and it looks great! (Now showing at Stealthy's)

I've got a few myself, a skull and crossbones and my right bicep, s skull with flames shooting out of the sides on my left forearm and a cherry, well we can't discuss where that is, but I'm quite sure you can figure it out if you think hard enough. Anyway, my point being, they may seem kinda cool at first, but you may not in the future. I wish I never got mine.

I dont have any tatoos, as has been said way to permanent for me lol. Came close in the military but never did. As for people getting their name on their backs..Arledrian/Alexander well I had a guy working for me a few years ago. Had his name "Larry" tatooed in fairly decent caligraphy on his back. Well within seconds of him showing us his new tattoo it was suggested that it would make it easy for his new boyfriends to know his name if he went to jail.
