::Liliara watched lagolis for a moment and realized he had found nothing that pertained to her. She traveled to the stable and into Drak's stall. She ran her hand down him, comforting him. He nickered his low approval and she went to her bag, pulling out the salve and returning to the tavern::

The mage quickly regained his composure. He had nothing to lose, so why be surprised? He knew he'd be dead the moment he was captured.

"The most thing you can do to me is to kill me" He thought with a sarcastic smile "what a surprise, heh"

Then he turned and ignored the man, mind racing, trying to find a way out of this situation.

As Liliara entered the room, his eyes flashing excitingly. Clearing his throat, he mocked: "so, how does that blade taste, My Lady? Your dear brother asked me to give his best regard, as he did" The mage paused for a second, to let the effect hit the warrior woman fully "in Mountbourne."

Then he gaged painfully, he is still badly wounded
"**cough** **cough** ack... Egnias, at your service, for three years already" He managed to hold his pain in check, and gave a weak smile

Quietly, everyone was staring at the two. Inense built in the air.

::Liliara drew her sword as she quickly closed the distance between herself and the mage. She placed the tip of the sword under his chin. It dug in slightly, drawing a trickle of blood that coursed down his neck.::

Perhaps I can help you to answer your own question! ::she dug the blade in a little deeper, the hate in her eyes matching and even surpassing that of the wizard::

Egnias tried hard to let out a laughter

"Anger, My Lady, hahahahahahaha" he laughed and laughed, despite Liliara's sword were drawing more and more blood from his neck. Matching Liliara's intense gazing, he continued:

"So you are the angery one now, huh? where was your fire when you were the whinny little girl back then?" Egnias stopped to catch a breath, then continued with a mockery voice: "Ohhhh, I see, you were hiding, just like what you've been doing all these years!"

Shadow watched the discourse disinterestedly. It's obvious that this mage was someone Liliara knew before, and has been sent after her, presumably in some way involving her brother. She probably knew every bit as much as the mage did. He decided it was time to gather those horses and check them out. He could get any details later.
"i'll be back in a bit," he told the others, and trotted silently out the door, jogging out to where the horses were at. Once there, he searched through the packs, looking for anything of interest.

To shadow

Searching carefully, you found several pieces of map. Stacked in one roll.
You also found a green scroll, appears to be magical. You have no idea what it does.

Putting the maps and scroll into his pack, Shadow tells the horses to follow him and heads back for the inn. Once there, he rubs them down carefully and stables them. Heading back into the bar, he approaches the innkeeper. "I have 7 good horses out back in your stable for sale. I'll give you a good deal on them if you can promise they good to caring owners." The innkeep headed out to look them over with him. After looking the 7 over, the innkepp offered 5 gold apiece (DM?) and a promise to see them in good hands. Shadow accepted gladly. Not a bad deal for taking out some bad guys. 35 gold and an excellent packhorse to carry supplies on this new adventure.

Shadow next approached the mage, and inquired if he would be interested in identifying a scroll for him. Talthyr asked to see it, and shadow drew it out. "Oh, but that's easy," Talthyr said. "I don't even need a spell. That's a protection from the elements scroll. It will give you resistance to ice and fire."

Shadow then took a seat at the table, after asking Liliara to join him after finishing with the mage.
