The woman who claims to have lost the ticket has no proof that she ever purchased the ticket or even that she was in the store at the time the ticket was purchased. She didn't come forward with her story until AFTER the lottery, and she has a previous police record. Since the winner came forward, one who says she lost it, has been unreachable by the police.
The woman who claimed the jackpot a) has tickets to prior lotteries showing she played the same numbers b) a receipt showing she was in the store at the same time the winning ticket was sold (the receipt is for other tickets she purchased).
I think the woman who claimed she lost the ticket is lying. All the evidence so far backs that up.

Every store around today has survailance cameras. Why don't they just check the tape for the time the ticket was purchased?

Even then as they say possesion is 9/10ths the law. She should have signed the back of the ticket when she bought it, then there would be no doubt.

The women who has the ticket wins. It's simple. If the other one can't look after a single peace of paper ... her problem

If it was a jackpot the size of what you get over here (About 5-10 million pounds) then yeh sure keep it, but its the equivilent of about 90million. 90 MILLION! I couldnt spend that if I tried.
