Nurse Joy

The nurse had no trouble in helping Pandaros with his request. She walked with him, slowly, in the direction of the Town Square where the beautiful plants and flowers grew. There, on the Eastern side of the gardens, she left him to stand or sit as he pleased. From this location, he could easily see the actions at the Inn as well as the pub. The nurse was also interested in staying and watching the ordeal, but she had to get back to her duties.

Tanor Kolbite the escapee and Sergio the mage

The two were already on pins and needles with nerves, so when the door suddenly opened, the poor man that opened it did not realize how close to death he had come.

Tanor: "What in all the hells do you think you're doing down here? Why ain't you back up there where you belong!"

Sergio: "What if you were followed?!"

???: "Calm down ladies...everything is taken care of. I just wanted to find out if you two had any plans for getting outta here."

Sergio: "Actually, yes. If we can hold out position a little while longer, my contact back home will be setting up an escape portal directed as a one-way travel out of this hole. We'll be away from this pla..."

~slap~

Tanor: "No need to tell this guy everything!"

???: "No need to worry about me. I could care less, as long as I get my pay...which I have. Want anything while you're waiting? Some coffee or something?"

Tanor: "We're fine. Just leave us alone, and we'll be gone soon enough."

???: "Suit yourselves."

The door closed again, leaving the two criminals alone to worry about how much longer it would take to escape.

Oley, the Host who Roasts the Ghosts

Oley looked at Vindson as the younger men began dispersing, "Well, it's been a full morning so far, think I'll go celebrate with a bit of brew, I hear there's a norker mushroom ale that came in last week, it should be worth a try, care to join me?"

Sever

Sever smiled modestly at the Guard Chief's words.

"Well, there may be a young lass or two at my local who could well be missing my company, but if there is, they'd be the only ones.

"Am i suitably armed? That depends entirely on what you expect me to do. If you mean for me to scout ahead of your party in shadow and do the things a thief normally does, then yes, i'm ready. I suppose i could use a leather breastplate but unless there's one on hand in my colour, i won't trouble you. The shadows and light feet are my preferred armour type anyway.

"I have only one suggestion. The fellow Pandaros, who was injured a short while ago, had a good point about covering the exit with his bow. If the four of us are going in, i think it wise to have a sharpshooter on the outside, just in case. Do you know of his condition?"

After morning prayers ANdurel looks for the teleportation device that Oley has in his house. He decides he will go into town to Oley's favorite tavern and mingle with his friend.

He activates the device the way his old friend instructed and feels the tingling sensation...

Andurel sits in the tavern waiting for his friend Oley to come back. He had known Oley for many years. But now with this town in lockdown due to whatever misfortunate circumstances he would be stuck here a little while longer inside the town.

He shakes his long flowing white hair and sighs. Then he drinks a little more of his ale. He looks at the roasted vegetables on his tray but finds he isn't as hungry as he thought he was. Andurel just moves around a carrot and a potato and then sighs again.

Vindson, too old for this

Vindson noted Oley's words in a distant corner of his mind, surveying the scene around him, once again a young warrior checking for hot spots, places where he could help. He spotted Pandaros in the courtyard in the center, with his wounds having been tended to, watching from afar.

Sever, and a couple of the town guards were preparing to enter the inn. For a moment Vindson's instincts took over, and he made a step towards the tavern, but as he did a searing pain shot through his leg, and brought him back to his senses. He was no longer a young warrior, strong and fresh. He was nothing but a burnt out warrior, earning his living in a small town, where he could mostly escape the stories told of his adventuring days.

Vindson turned to face Oley, one of the people who reminded him of his past the most.

"Aye. A drink for old time's sake is what I need now. Lead the way, friend."

For Kasimno:

The Guard Chief that had escorted Kasimno to jail passed by the only guard that could be on duty at the jail at that time, since the gates were secured by other guards, the Locke Manor was made secure from breaking in, and the three guards at the Inn tried to figure out how to smoke out the bad guys. Inside the jail, there were a few prisoners, all locked in individual cells. They could not get out, so there was no need to have more than one guard posted outside to prevent anyone from just walking in without a security pass.

The guard chief walked Kasimno back to one of the back cells and threw him in.

"How long you stay in there depends on how long it takes this town to get back to normal so that the Lockes can give you a trial...so get comfortable."

He then left Kasimno alone in his cell, and left the building.

He started walking back towards the Inn, intent on being of help if indeed they had cornered the rats.

Oley, older than he looks

Oley nodded, days this busy were meant for the young he would be happy to have a few drinks and be done with work for the day. He knew that after the blast earlier he'd have no business for a week or two when people once more needed his services more than they feared it's chaos. As he was walking in he felt a familiar tickle and knew that his home had been enterred. He stepped inside in time to witness an elf appear, look momentarily startled the accept a drink of nordlar, Oley shook his head as recognition struck. He knew this elf, the brother of Starfall Shinymane, the elf's family had provided him refuge after Oley had retired and he had stayed with them some time afterwards before leaving for a place he could retire in peace without feeling blame from those around him for the passing of a nigh immortal elf, even those who did not place the blame on him showed pity in their eyes when they saw him trying to drink his memories out of his mind. Oley had kept in correspondence with Shinymane's family, even going so far as to extend an invitation and directions for evading the teleportation traps in his abode. It would seem Andurel had taken him up on it.

He looked at Vindson, "You recall Destar Shinymane from the old days don't you, Andurel there is his brother." Oley then held up three fingers to the barkeep, indicating three shots of corn whiskey, a signal they were well aware of here. "Let's say hello, shall we." He then walked up to the elf's table, dipped a finger into a pouch and withdrew it, now tipped with charcoal powder and drew out a hello in the elvish script on the tabletop before sitting.

Vindson

Vindson breathed in the rich smells of ale and smoke as he entered the inn. The smells were a welcome change after the fumes and sparks of his furnace. After working Vindson liked coming here, to relax his aching joints.

Vindson waited at the bar for the drinks Oley had motioned for then took them to the table, gently putting them down, before sitting down. Once seated Vindson took a few moments to put his leg in a comfortable position, for if he left it in an uncomfortable position for too long, it easily became cramped.

"Yes, my brother. But pleasure to meet you Vindson is it?"

Vindson took in the features of the elf. From long years ago, he did recall meeting Destar Shinymane, a very respectable elf.

"Well met, Andurel Shinymane. The pleasure of meeting an elf such as you is mine." Vindson inclined his head. "You must be told this quite a lot, but you resemble your brother quite a lot. Vindson paused for a moment, a genuine look of concern in his eyes as he remembered the fate which had befallen Destar. "I'm sorry. I did not want to break open old wounds."

Vindson stared at his glass for a few moments, before reaching a decision and downing it in one gulp. It seemed that tonight would be a night when Oley was not the only person haunted by his past. Vindson turned to the bar, and motioned for more drinks.
