Yevaud

Yevaud walked out into the courtyard, the screams still echoing throughout the courtyard. The scene reminded him of the tales he and his fellows had told of monsters in the deep woods, a madman with a hook for a hand killing off intruders, evil spirits leaving strange stick figures around camps, then eating the flesh of those who came to investigate. a cold shiver went down his spine as he walked around, he barely registered that his sword was once more in his hand, it felt reassuring with it's weight, almost like a natural extension of his arm, but then with nearly a century of training, it should feel like a natural extension.

He walked out cautiously and upon seeing nothing dangerous looking, except the paladin, he walked over toward one of the ditches, ignoring the others for the moment, and examined it for a moment before hopping in to explore what the humans had excavated.

For Yevaud and those that are with him at the castle:

You inspect the area. A building has begun being unearthed in the ditches that surround the castle. It looks like solid building of some sort under there, actually...especially when you see a window in the wall of it. The window is open and peering in tells you that not only is it dark inside, except for the sunlight shining in to illuminate a room, but that there was a trail of blood from the window to the darkness inside the room, as though somebody had been attacked here and been dragged back there.

Anarrima: She was worried that the two elves returned after running after the drow, but that they had not captured nor killed him. That meant that the drow was still out there somewhere, waiting for a chance to attack again. Anarrima hated the drow.

Now there was something else going on, and it was more urgent than chasing down a rogue dark elf in the swamps. Following Yevaud outside with the others, she bore witness to the odd work that had been done out here this morning. Ditches were dug deep into the earth to reveal a hidden chamber of some type. Was it an unknown dungeon or basement of castle Lesismoore, that none had been aware of existed? Whatever they had found, they no longer wanted it...for there was nobody here left to lay claim to anything.

"Yevaud? What do you see in that window?"

Anarrima had noticed the look on Yevaud's face. It worried her?

It was a bit unnerving to see these two looking at him like this, and he wondered if they were not telling him something, but even more unnerving was Morgeruat's expression on his face as he stepped back away from him, though lost his balance and fell to his knee pretty hard.

He reached out to the fallen comrade.

"Morgeruat! Are you alright? Here, let me help."

Vincent Pathfinder 98/98

Memories of times past came flooding to his mind with sounds of the screaming men. He remebered a time when his mothers coven set out to control an angered wood spirit. Qith Hannah Malach Armin was the spirits name it was a joined couple of the forest. The spirit had become enraged when some meddlers of the dark arts had tried to control it, the wizards had paid for there indescreation with there lives and set off a chain of events the forset hadnt seen in centuries. The coven moved swiftly and Vincents father helped them track the spirit. Twelve had left that day, some of the strongest Druids in the land at that time. They tried calming the spirit at first which lead to a bloody battle, eventually they had gained the upper hand and found a way to imprison the spirit in a tomb, only three members of the coven returned. Vincent was but a child at this time, and his mother had told him about the battle, and sheer ferocity of the woodland spirit. How it would seeminly be the air you breathed at one moment and then a flurry of shredding attacks the next. he wondered..the screams back to him or was it the sudden silence or something that was said. Noticing that Yevaud had gone to investigate and Ana was worrying about him he headed in his direction momentarily pausing to say" Arwenamin, Uuma dela, all will be alright one way or antoher hehe " and then he headed to Yevauds side, arrows knocked and ready.

"My Lady, dont worry"

Anarrima 67/67

She glanced back at Vincent, the half-elf...more for the consideration of his wild-elf accent than what he had said. Sure, he had a tone that proved his mother had been the most influence with his speaking...but it was also missing practice and perfection that would have been acheived had he spent more time at home. He also had too much "city" in him. This Vincent must have gained the restlessness of the wild elves as well as whatever adventurous trait his father must have had for falling for her...and so the poor child was doomed to be a wanderer, looking for something that his heart was guiding him toward, yet never being able to stay in one place long enough to discover it. This could mean many things as to the persona that Vincent had become. He seemed satisfied at the moment, at least, in working with this group...but she bet that as soon as things became boring for him, he'd be on his way.

She smiled at her own deduction, and turned back towards Yevaud...the young but insistant Bladesinger...on his first real quest. The excitement in this one for new adventures could get him killed, especially if he placed too much trust on his art. There were so many evils in this land of Ironworks...

So many.

Kynnen 73/85

Kynnen put on the cage back on his shoulder, and moved closer to a nearby casket to inspect it. It was open, it's top lying in a puddle just a few feet away. The casket was empty. Grave robbers? Kynnen thought at first, but the cavern did not look like anything worthy of robbing. He looked up above the casket, to see the on the cavern ceiling where the casket stood before the ground let it loose. He also looked around, to see more of the caskets opened, crashed or destroyed. All of them were empty. But it's the way they were opened that was weird. They were either torn or crashed completely, or the top was removed, but with holes and breaks from the center, not from the middle where it would have been had they been opened by bars or picks from outside. That and the eeire atmosphere of the underground cavern made Kynnen suspect something was very wrong here. He unlocked and pulled out his falchion, and proceeded through the only path out of the cavern. Just to be sure, he reached in through the front of his armor and pulled out the amulet symbol of Vhaeraun to hang freely on the front.

For Kynnen:

You walk through the cavern, which is very wet and therefore moss and slime covers everything. You work at it to keep your solid footing. There is no light, but the drow race has nothing to worry about in that regard.

Soon...too soon, you come to a scene of death in front of you. There are three bodies on the floor. The first one closest to you lies on its stomach, and one arm is extended towards you, the direction of the entrance you just came from. The dead has on its gear...a very rusted plate mail, and a rusted short-sword in its skeletal hand. Bits of rotted garment hangs like web on its bones. The two corpses behind this one have been severely decapitated. Their arms and legs are not with the torsos.

If you were to guess at what transpired here, you'd suppose that this man was being chased by undead humans...and was running away from them, given the direction he's facing when he died. He had managed to kill two of them, but something had killed him shortly after...maybe more undead.

Upon closer inspection, you indeed see scratch marks on the bones where something had been eating the flesh away, but the marks do not tell you what it had been to do this.

Just then, you think you heard a small noise from the very corpse you are leaning over, and maybe a discreet movement.

Restlessness can be potentially hazardous to one's health, especially when you are a poor, long-forgotten clan on Ironworks and those that are irritable are the Giants of Shadow.

The giants were in the underforums, impatient and hungry for something to do. Their leader, the mighty Terrakis, had taken leave to battle an enemy alone, far away in another place. They were made to wait here and guard the tower's underground, for it was a potential breaching point. However, asking such powerful creations like these to sit around and wait was not such a good idea.

The became restless.

They wanted something to do, and since no adventurers were dropping in on them they were going to have to go out and find their own entertainment.

Yet they knew the Mage would not approve of abandonment of their post, and knew as well that not all of them could go at once. It was decided that three would go now, and then when they returned, the other three could venture forth, leaving three giants always in the underforums.

The first three were chosen and made their way out of the tunnels of the Underforums and into the gaming world of Ironworks. They had their targets planned. They had heard their Father speak of clans and guilds of Ironworks...and how they had long plagued the RPG forum and indeed many of the forums of IW. Now, there was no more recruiting being done in those clans and they sat quietly and peaceably in the archives of the gaming world. So too they thought they were safe from harm...

The first building they came too had a merry sign out front that stated the place as the Laughing Hyenas. The giants circled the building and began hammering down on the ceiling, loving the feel of the building being crushed by their mighty fists and enjoying the sweet music of terrified screams from within that quickly halted as the roof was completely pounded in on top of the people inside. There was no telling how many victims had died there.

Next, they moved down the street to a place called The Society Of Songs And Silent Blades. In equal manner, the giants crushed the building down on top of the tenents inside, glorying in the sounds of panicked death cries. The Order of Merlin was next, where some had heard the cries from the previous two clan houses and came out ready to battle this terror that came for them this night, but the giants were not to be stopped so easily by amature spell-casting. The five that came out chanting spells never had the chance to finish, as they were crushed under the feet of the mighty Shadow Giants. Their clan house was made rubble instantly. The night wore on, and the giants were enjoying themselves so much, they nearly forgot that they had a pact with their brothers to return after doing half of the work, so that the other three could come and finish the job with the other innactive clans.

But they did remember, their pact, and so returned to the caves, where they shared the experience of their night out which got the latter three so excited that they began running down the long corridors of the tunnels to get their share of the workload started.

The latter three giants arrived at the gates of a place called the Wizards' Guild. As with the first band of mages, these pathetic has-beens had lost the power with their spell-casting, and so try as they might,,,they were unable to stop the march of the giants as they plowed into the clanbase. They knew that the Reaper was now in the clan-castle of Keldorn's Order, and knew that their master would not approve of an attack on that building at this time, so they passed it by. They finally came to the doors of the two final buildings, standing side-by-side...the two most hated clans that the Mage had mentioned. The ORT and the HADB. The size of the clan houses told of how many members it had. Very many. The Giants sneered as they began their onslaught. The roof was ripped off the ORT and tossed into the building of the HADB. Mambers of both clans streamed out like little ants whose hill had been tossed asunder. The giants laughed at each of them as they began to stomp, kick, and slam their fists into the people, killing them all. The clan houses were demolished and the only three that remained standing wereKeldorn's Order, the ALSB, and the OHF. The giants wanted to destroy the ALSB too, but the place was safe from destruction at this time, as well as the other two. They relished in what they were able to do, and went home, expecting that the Mage would reward them well for ridding the gaming world of those clans.

OOC>>>So I was bored and needed to kill something tonight. Thank your lucky stars that it was not YOU!!!

Silt 29/80

A day which had brought with it the promise of depression, a chance to reflect on events transpired, and companions lost, had now turned into something of great excitement. Marcos had told Silt he was free to leave, along with Vincent; yet he did not feel like a prisoner. His task was to find Larry - but where to start? He supposed searching for clues as to his location would be the best idea - thus he, like the guards around him, began searching the debris. The guards trepidation very quickly turned to intrigue and excitement, raised tones – tones with a substance. Silt paid no attention at first, he was isolated from the main body of the camp, and did not know what was happening around him, but a short while later he heard screams. A contradiction? Rushing to the front of the castle, he immediately saw the source of where the screams came from. Guards were running in all directions, trained footmen fleeing, seemingly for their lives. The almost overpowering screams faded within seconds – the shrill shrieking pierced through Silt’s keen ears. He moved forward and stared into what appeared to be a window, in the ground. Yet he could see nothing but darkness. It seemed there was nothing for his eyes to probe into. Silt, while curious as to what this window held inside, was clever enough to heed the screams, take them as a warning, and decided to wait for Marcos and Vincent before he took further action. So he grabbed the nearest fleeing guard, and asked him where he could find Marcos at this present time.

Ooc> Is Silt healed yet?

THE DM is assuring that the grouping the party together has occurred at this time. There are five PCs and one NPC guard that has a crush on Anarrima.

This is just a tie-in post to link everything together and get us playing as a team again.

The running guard struggled out of the elf's grip and ran, not saying a word.

Within moments, Yevaud, Vincent, Marcos, and Anarrima were all outside the castle and together with Silt, they were all reunited at the same ditch near the same odd window.

Anarrima 55/67

(Sorry...I forgot that Ana had lost 10hp earlier)

Ana had been so busy with worrying about the drow, and suffering fatigue from the heavy work of ressurrecting two people from death...that one elf seemed to have bypassed her sight until just now.

"Oh my! I did not realize that you were wounded, my brother...which now I clearly can discern. Allow me to pray for you to my Lady."

Without awaiting the invitation, Anarrima started to pray in elvish, asking for the blessing of health to come unto Silt. When she opened her eyes, She locked them on Silt, and said the final syllable. He began to instantly feel the effects of the spell, though there were no dazzling lights like those seen in video games. When the spell was complete, Anarrima lost against the weakness in her limbs and fell to her knees, catching herself from falling over completely.

Anarrima cast Cure Critical Wounds.
Silt has recovered 32hp by dice roll.

EDIT: Anarrima has suffered 2hp damage from fatigue.
