Good topic, as I've learned uses for some spells I never tried before.
My favorite spell is "Friends", as it summons Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox. Actually, I like the simple Magic Missle because you can cast it so quickly. Some evil cleric is commencing to cast a nasty spell at you, but you fire MM at him before his spell is complete. [ 10-03-2002, 02:23 PM: Message edited by: Keraptisdm ] |

other fun ones are cloudkill, and cone of cold (the bridge in Dorns deep with the drow... chunky neo-orogs- the drow mag resist stopped most of it from hitting them, but the orogs were toast.

Magic missile is great, as is Aghannar's Scorcher (as long as none of your party are in the way) but my all time favourite is probably Haste, works on everyone, makes combat that much easier and lets you destroy anything that casts without getting into too much trouble

The mage in my psarty is Called Psybeznia he is and illusionist, (i was once registered as him and he is my favorite player, he is a gnome which has elvan and drow heritage) ps if anyone wants the first part of my story, Psybeznia's Quest Chaper 1 i will email it to them). Overall my favorite spell would have to be Spider Spawn, but since that is only in BG i would have to say Monster Summoning VII i think this only applys to HoW though, or is it M S VI

Welcome to the boards, Charlak!
I am only to mid-game (severed hand); so my gnome mc thief/illusionist is still using level 3 spells (have level 4 slots, but no spells to learn). Consequently, I am using a lot of monster summon I. (I prefer it over fireball, though I do dedicate a slot for fireball, in case things get dire.) However, the spell I ENJOY using most is Aganazzar's (sp?) Scorcher: It's a tactically challenging spell; very devasting to the enemy party, if used right; excellent graphics; "low-level" spell, so you can use it often; and I LOVE to see how many hits I can get out of one spell: line 'em up and target the last guy in the column... Toasted snake, anyone? |
