As a related topic: has anyone ever tried to kill the hermit you meet in Kuldahar Pass after the avalanche? I recently read on the Black Isle boards that he's a Cleric/Mage with 1000 HPs and 100% resistance to all types of damage.

I figured something out:

The squirrel died when i returned back to Easthaven, with one arrow, maybe magic or not, but it only took 1 hitpoint of damage to kill it. Later on, (on another attempt to get Poquelin) the squirrel definately resisted everthing. it'll say "3 damage given/14 damage resisted" but, besides that:

I got it!!!!

Um, why are you trying to kill the squirrel? Did he single you out for annihilation? Just because he happens to be a little magical doesn't mean he just *has* to die, you know
that is a completely valid reason to kill it. it is standing before me flaunting it's precious "magical resistence" oooooh, you have "magical resistence". well i have a big sword and a vendetta against all furry creatures that for some damn reason can take more of an ass whoopin than i ca.

DIE SQUIRREL. DDDDDDDIIIIIIIEEEEEEE !!!!!!!

damn squirrel.

-------

i think the developers got what they wanted. they put that squirrel there just to piss people like you and me off. and to start topics on forums around the world. look at the attention these bastards got for it. (hmmm, i wonder if u get a lot of XP for killing it) it's kind of like an easter egg in a program. i put those in all my programs, and if my dream of making video games comes true, all my games will have indestructable squirels AND goldfish in them.
