Well, I never used the multi-player thing for trading, actually... I guess I'm a bit too anti-social to bother with it. I do wonder what other magic items are out there, but I got them in Baldur's Gate using an editor, and would probably do the same in Icewind Dale. What keeps the game exciting for me is trying wacky parties to see how they do (like an all fighter group) or trying different combinations (such as dual-class powergaming) which I wouldn't do in my first time through.

I just found out I'm getting cable modem though, which will make online multi-player gaming a little bit easier for me (I've never had high speed internet access before)...so maybe in the near future I'll be a bit more social.

Rock on, Wretched-san! Cable modem is absolutely the only way to go. I wasn't sure until I got it. My wife is a big if it ain't broke, don't fix it person and was pretty resistant to the idea. She was sold in less than an hour after installation. Your gaming life will change permanently, my friend. email me when you get online and we'll hook up online, if you want. Since it's not this huge open community, you have to know who you want to connect to and that makes things a little easier, I think. Plus you can password-protect your game to make it a private game.
My party will be easy to find...an all girl group all named after porn stars! 8-D

Cable modem makes you downright SICK on Half-Life ... until you find the ALL cable modem server and get humiliated by all the campers....

I've never played Half-Life, but when I worked the graveyard shift here at work, we all used to load up Unreal Tournament on our LAN and play... can't get much sweeter than that, I tell ya.

I get my cable modem installed tomorrow, so I'll definately be interested in a multi-player IWD game if I can find you online. The only parties I have, though, are the one I finished the game with, and a one-man party consisting of a Chaotic Evil fighter with all 25's in stats (Yes, I was using the character editor to screw around).

I think one of the coolest things I'll be able to do with cable modem (besides MP3's) is rock the house in Ultima Online... not suffering from dial-up lag, I'll be able to race around the game!
