Okay, so I fire up the quest editor, start the tutorial, attempt to lay downa plot of grass and... it's grey. I zoom in and go into 3D editing mode and everything's grey (no grid or anything). Grey, grey, grey. I can see the app frame and the tools okay, but not the stuff I can add or anything. Anyone else seen this? Have any solutions, I hope?
Thanks, R |

Here's what works for me.... Try setting your display to 1024x768 at 24 colors (16 might work, but most of the TGA files use 24 bit color). I'm using 1024x768 at 32 bit-color (32 bits of color information per pixel - picture element) with no problems. I've seen a lot of info in the QE readmes and in other postings about gray scale problems, follow the instructions closely.
Note also that the quest editor uses D3D, just like the game. Only 1 thing can be in D3D at a time - so quit everything but the tutorial and the quest editor. MTCW, |
